    away at Hilltop Nursing Home,
    Thursday, June 11, 1970. Husband
    of the late Matilda Hennebohl
    Bower, he leaves one daughter,
    Dorothy M. Bower of
    lockport and several nieces and
    nephews. Friends may call Friday
    from 7 to 9 and Saturday
    from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 o'clock
    at Prudden and Kandt Funeral
    Home, 242 Genesee Street,
    where funeral services will be
    held Sunday afternoon at two
    o'clock. Private committal ser-
    bices will be held at Cold Spring
    Cemetery at the convenience of
    the family.

    LOCKPORT - Rollin G.
    Bower, 84, a former superintendent
    of highway maintenance
    for Niagara County, died
    Thursday (June 11, 1970) at
    Hilltop Nursing Home after a
    short illness. He had formerly
    lived at-116 Juniper St. here.
    - A native of the Town of
    ;Royalton, he was bom Aug. 26,
    1885, the son of George and
    Emma Blosser Bower.
    He farmed for many years
    in the Riddle Road and for 28
    .yeans, served the county as
    superintendent of h i g h w ay
    maintenance.
    He was a member of St
    Peter's United Church of God.
    He is survived by a daughter,
    Miss Dorothy M. Bower, and
    several nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call today from
    7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from
    2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at
    the Prudden and Kandt Funeral
    Home where services will be
    held at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev.
    Herbert L. Siegner will officiate.
    Private commital services
    will be held at Cold Spring
    Cemetery at the convenience of
    the family.

    Ill for the past six months, Mrs.
    Matilda Bower, 58. wife of Rollin
    G. Bower, Riddle Road, Lockport,
    died Monday in Buffalo General
    Hospital.
    Mrs. Bower was born in the Town
    o f Pendleton, daughter of. the late
    Mr. and' Mrs. Casper Hennebohl,
    but had lived in the Town of Lockport
    for SO years. She was a member
    of St. Peter's Evangelical
    Church.
    Besides her husband, who is an
    employe of the County Highway
    Department, Mrs. Bower leaves a
    daughter, Dorothy Bower, Lockport:
    three sisters, Mrs. Mary Forsyth
    and Mrs. George Kaufman, Lockport,
    and Mrs. Henry Kramer,
    Wendelville; and two brothers,
    Amel Hennebohl, Royalton, and
    Clarence Hennebohl. Lockport.

    Mrs. George Stannard, of 116
    Locust St., who was born on a
    farm near Raymond Hill more
    than a century ago, died Monday
    (March 2, 1164) at Mount
    View Hospital after a three week
    illness.
    She waa the daughter of
    Chauncey and Caroline Gets
    Blosser. She quietly celebrated
    her hundredth birthday Nov. 14,
    1963 with a few friends.
    Her father taught school at
    Raymond Hill during the Civil
    War after her grandfather paid
    his draft bounty, and she grew
    up on farms in the area. After
    finishing school at Raymond

    Hill, she was married to George
    Bower who operated a an
    machine shop in Lockport. Her
    only child, Rollin Bower, was
    born on the Raymond Hill farm
    78 years ago.
    Following the death of her
    husband she lived alone for a
    time before she was married to
    Charles Stannard. When he died
    about five years ago, she moved
    to 116 Locust St. where she lived
    until her death.
    Besides her son, she is survived

    by a brother, Burt Blosser
    of Royalton, 93; three sis
    ters, Mrs. Martha Fry, 96, of
    Gasport, Mrs. Lillie VanBuren,
    84, of Royalton, and Mrs. Lottie
    Bower, 89, of the Lockport ad-
    dress. A granddaughter also sur-
    vives.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4
    and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Prudden
    and Kandt Funeral Home, 242
    Genesee St., where the funeral
    will beheld Thursday at 2:30
    p.m. with the Rev. Herbert L.
    Siegner, pastor of St. Peter's
    United church of christ, offici-
    ating.

    Holenbeck. Newstead, Mrs. Fred

    passed away at her home. Town of
    Royalton, Tuesday, June 21, 1927.
    aged 82 years. She leaves to mourn
    her loss her husband, one son, Bart
    Blosser of Town of Royalton, and
    five daughters, Mrs, Emma Stannard
    of Lockport. Mrs Oliver Hollenbach.
    Mrs. Fred Van Buren, Mrs. Chart's
    Bower and Mrs. Lillie Van Buren, all
    of Royalton.
    The funeral will take place at the
    home Friday at two o clock stan-
    dard time. Interment in Chestnut
    Ridge cemetery
