    greater part of her life, Mrs.
    Place was a member of Salem
    United Church of Christ, the
    Salem Home Department, the
    Degree of Pocahontas. Swiftwater
    Council No. 186 and the
    Golden Agers of the Salvation
    Army.
    Surviving are three daughters,
    Mrs. Kenneth (Esther)
    Chase, of Tonawanda; Mrs.
    William (Beatrice) Vogt of
    Chesapeake, Va., and Mrs. John
    (Carol) Hoover; a son, Morris
    Place of Springville, also surviving
    are 15 grandchildren;
    eight great-grandchildren; a
    brother, Elmer Bockhahn of
    Tonawanda, and a sister, Mrs.
    Arnold (Loretta) Graf of North
    Tonawanda.
    Friends may call at their
    convenience at the Ham
    Funeral Home, Inc., Adam-
    Seymour Sts.. Tonawanda.
    where services will be
    conducted at 2 p.m. Friday,
    Rev. Karl H.A. Rest will
    officiate. Interment in Acacia
    Park-Resthaven Cemetery.

    Charles Bockhahn, 59 years old,
    died yesterday afternoon at his
    home, 208 William street, after a
    brief illness. He was born in Germany
    and had lived in Tonawanda
    since he was 14 years old. He
    was a member of Lumber City
    Tent, Knights of the Maccabees
    and the Salem church.
    Surviving are a wife, Minnie,
    nee Schumacher; two daughters,
    Mrs. Arnold Graft and Mrs. James
    Place of North Tonawanda; a son,
    Elmer, Tonawanda; a sister, Mrs.
    Anna Peterson of Redwood, Calif.,
    and seven grandchildren.
    The fuueral will be held Monday
    afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from
    the residence. Rev. Theodore Mayer
    will conduct the services and
    Interment will be in Rest Haven
    cemetery.

    BOCKHAHN - Mrs. M i n n ie
    Bockhahn, 83, of 208 William St.,
    Tonawanda, died Sunday (Dec. 2,
    1956) at her home after a lingering
    illness. A lifelong resident of Tonawanda,
    she is survived by a son,
    Elmer, and two daughters, Mrs.
    James (Emma) Place of Tonawanda
    and Mrs. Arnold (Loretto) Graf
    °f North Tonawanda. Nine grandchildren
    and 22 great grandchildren
    also survive. She was a
    member of the Salem E & R
    Church and of the Women's Guild
    of the church, and of the Western
    New York Auxiliary of the Shut Ins
    Society. Friends may call at
    the residence, 208 William St.,
    where services will be at 2 p.m.
    Wednesday with the Rev. W. F.
    Hetzel officiating. Burial in Resthaven
    Cemetery
