Women's Missionary League. She
was also a member of the North

Senior Citizens, Salvation
Army Golden Agers, a Pinochle
Club and a volunteer at DeGraff Gift

She is survived by her husband.

SCHROEDER - Louise Schroeder, 97, of North Tonawanda, Wednesday (January 13, 1988) in Mt. View Skilled Nursing Facility after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Schroeder was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of North Tonawanda. She was the wife of the late Edward F. Schroeder who died in 1956. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Norma) Bergman of East Amherst, New York, and Mrs. Lucius (Dorothy) Curtis of North Tonawanda; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Hilda Aschenbach of North Tonawanda; also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Violet Herman.
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda this evening from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Mrs. Alvina Durow, 90, died this morning at the home of her son, Gustav Durow, 63 Allen street. Born to Germany, she had resided to North Tonawanda the past 81 years. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Philip Herman; three sons, Gustav, John of Lockport and Theodore of Niagara Falls; 28 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and a brother, William Ellman of S t Johnsburg. Rites will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Allen street address and at 2:30 o'clock from the St Mark's church on Washington street The Rev. Paul Fretthold will officiate. Burial will be St Marks cemetery.

Mrs. Matilda Strassburg, 68 years old, wife of the late August Strassburg, Ward road, St. Johnsburg, died last night at her home. She was a life-long resident of the town of Wheatfield. Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Herman Ellman, Mrs. Bert Moore, Mrs. Edward Schroeder, Mrs. Walter Sut- and Mrs. Norman Achenbach, all of North Tonawanda and Ms. Fred Zastrow and Mrs. Paul Mueller, St. Johnsburg; three sons, Walter and Benjamin Strassburg, St. Johnsburg, and Otto A. Strassburg, Newfane; twelve grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Charles Stange, St. Johnsburg, and a brother, Henry Andres, Ransomville. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the St. John's church, St. Johnsburg. Rev. Walter Thiemecke will conduct the services and interment will be in the St. John's cemetery.
