    A very pretty wedding took place
    Saturday, April 14th at the Zlon
    Lutheran church when Mabel May
    Budde, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    Frank Budde became the bride of
    George Henry Liersch, son of Mrs.
    Henry' Liersch. The ceremony was
    solemnized at 5:30, the Rev. Herman
    Brezing officiating. Mrs. Comerford,
    organist of the church played the
    wedding march.
    The bride was lovely In pale pink
    georgette with hat to match. She
    wore a corsage of orchids and lily of
    the valley. The maid of honor, Rita
    Liersch, sister of the groom was
    gowned In blue georgette with hat to
    match. She wore a corsage of pink
    sweet peas and rosea. Mr. Elmer
    Wilcox was best man. Mrs. Budde,
    mother of the bride was gowned in
    navy blue georgette with cream lace.
    Mrs. Liersch, mother of the groom
    was gowned in black and white fig-
    ured crepe.
    The reception was hold Immediate-
    ly following the ceremony at the
    home of the brlde's parents. Covers
    wero laid for 57. Tho bride's table
    was centered with pink roses and
    white sweet peas.
    Following the reception Mr. and
    Mrs. Liersch left for Washington. D.
    C. and will be at home in this city
    after May 1st.
    The pre-nuptials held for the brlde
    were a variety shower, given by Mil-
    dred Rickert, a Rose Marie Glass-
    ware shower. by Misses Mildred and
    Mary Elnsfeldt, a kitchen shower, by
    Louise Schwenbeck.

    For Half Century Dies
    A native of Germany and a resident
    of this city since 1899, Mrs.
    Wllhelmlna Liersch. 80. of 3253
    Michigan avenue, died yesterday at
    Memorial Hospital.
    Wife of the former Henry Liersch
    and a member of the Ladies' Aid
    society of Zion Evangelical Lutheran
    church. Mrs. Liersch Is survived
    by six sons, George Llersch, William
    and Edward Davis of this city;
    Capt. Charles Davis, San Diego.
    Calif.: Otto Davis, Detroit. Mich.,
    and John Davis, Buffalo; one
    daughter. Mrs. Elmer Wilcox, this
    city, and 14 grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be conducted
    by the Rev. Arthur H. Schmoyer.
    D.D., at Bell Funeral home. Main
    street, at a time to be announced
    later.
    Interment will be In Rlverdale
    cemetery.

    Frank Budde, 70 years old, died at
    Memorial hospital yesterday, following
    a short illness. He had lived in
    Niagara Falls for 40 years and was
    employed as a car inspector by the
    Lehigh Valley railroad here for 35 years.
    He was pensioned last March. Mr.
    Budde was a member of Zion Luth-
    eran church and the Young Men's
    club of the church. He was also a
    member of two Falls lodges, the Mac-
    cabees and the Foresters.
    He is survived by his wife, Chris-
    tina; three sons, Herman and Clay-
    ton, both of this city, and Fred of
    Detroit; four daughters, Mrs. Harry
    Bell and Mrs. George Utley, both of
    this city; Mrs. Ray Schum, of Elmira
    and Mrs. George Liersch, this city.
    Mr. Budde also leaves a sister, Mrs.
    John Piper of Lewiston, and four
    brothers, Julius and Fred, of New-
    fane; Robert,, of Hartland and Herman
    of the LaSalle section, this city.
    Funeral services will be held from
    the family home, 1034 Twentieth
    street, on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The
    Rev. Herman Brezing, pastor of Zion
    Lutheran church will officiate. Bur-
    ial will be in Oakwood cemetery.

    avid Gadke of Shelburne, Ont. Ser-
    vices will be held from the home, 627
    90th street, Saturday, March 29th at

    A very pretty home wedding took
    place Wednesday evening, April 5. at
    the residence of Mr.. and Mrs. John
    Bates on South Avenue,, when their
    cousin, Miss Christina Bates, and
    Frank Budd were united in the holy
    bonds of matrimony.
    Promptly at 8 o'clock to the strains
    of the Logengrin wedding maarch,
    played b Mrs. Seymour P. Scholles,
    the bridal party entered the parlors.
    The bride, on the arm of her brother,
    who gave her away, was attended by
    Miss Mary Saunter as maid of honor
    and John Pfisterer as best man.
    They were met under the arch be-
    tween the parlors by the groom and
    Rev. Mr. Hoffman of Zion's church,
    who using the ring service made them
    man and wife.
    Immediately after the congratula-
    tions of friends supper was announced
    and the company proceeded to the
    dining room where they did justice to
    a delicious and bountiful repast.
    The bride wore a beautiful crepe de
    chene gown trimmed with allover lace
    and applique and carried a bouquet
    of white carnations. The maid of
    honr was ecomingly gowned in
    white. The presents were numerous
    and beautiful.
