    In a candlelight ceremony Aug.
    12 at 7 p.m. in St Matthews
    Evangelical Lutheran Church.
    Miss Doris Rosebrock. daughter
    of Mrs. Elsie E. Rosebrock of
    108 Fredericka St., and Winfield
    Scott ware united in marriage
    by the Rev. Paul Gassmann. The
    bride was given in marriage by
    her brother, Herbert Roaebrock.
    Baskets of white gladioli, palms
    and tall tapers in candelabra
    were chancel and altar decora-
    tions.
    The bride wore a metallic
    brocaded satin gown fashioned
    with a square neckline, long
    sleeves coming to a point over
    the hands. Her veil of Chantilly
    lace fell from a crown of orange
    blossoms. She wore her mother's
    gold necklace and carried a bouquet
    of white roses..
    Attendants for the bride were
    Alice Dischinger, maid-of-nonor.
    Mrs. William Witkopf. sister of
    the bride and Mrs. Peter Fiata,
    sister of the bridegroom. The
    flower girl was Joyce Schultz,
    the bride's cousin. All wore white
    e m b o s s e d silk marquisette
    gowns with Chinese necklines
    and cap sleeves, of aqua, pink,
    yellow and green. All carried
    baskets of Spring flowers and
    wore flowers in their hair.
    Albert Hosmer Jr. attended
    the bridegroom as best man and
    the ushers were Albert Pascuccl
    and William Lasky. Billy Wit-
    kopf, nephew of the bride, was
    ring bearer.
    The bride's mother wore a
    freen crepe dress with black
    accessories and the bridegroom's
    mother chose a black lace dress
    over pink with black accessories.
    The groom's grandmother was
    attired in a navy blue dress with
    matching accessories. All wore
    corsages of mixed flowers.
    A reception was held in the
    American Legion Home with
    290 guests attending.
    For her wedding trip to Cleve-
    land, 'the bride wore a carnation
    red suit with white accessories
    and a corsage of white roses.
    Hostesses at prenuptial parties
    for the bride were Mrs. Peter
    Fiala and Mrs. Howard Warblow
    Mrs. William Witkopf, Miss Alice
    Dischinger. Mrs. Wallace Mauser,

    Prominent North Tonawandan Succumbed This Morning at His Home on Payne Avenue
    Held Many Public Offices
    Funeral Monday
    Herman J. Rosebrock, one of North Tonawanda's best known citizens died this morning at his home on Payne avenue. His death followed a prolonged illness. He was born in Germany, coming to North Tonawanda at the age of 17 and continuing his residence here. He held a number of public offices, including alderman, supervisor and commissioner of public works. He was a staunch Democrat. For many years he was prominently identified with the Pioneers' association of Niagara county, having held different offices in the organization, including that of president. Helped Organize Church He was one of the founders of St. Matthew's church on Wheatfield street and had been active in its proceedings up to the time that illness made it impossible to give the church the benefit of his counsel. He is survived by three sons, William J., Herman J., Jr., and Albert; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock and half an hour later at St. Matthew's church, Rev. Carl Frankenstein will conduct the services and Interment will be in the St. Matthew's cemetery.

The funeral will be held from the family home at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon and a half hour later from Saint Matthew's church on Wheatfield street, the Rev. Carl Frankenstein officiating.
