    William C. Boeldt, 29. of 1046
    91st St., died today in Buffalo General
    Hospital after a month's illness.
    He had been transferred from
    Memorial Hospital to Buffalo Satin
    day.
    A native and lifelong resident of
    this city, Mr. Boeldt had been employed
    for the last six years as a
    lineman for the Niagara Mohawk
    Power Corp. He saw Army service
    in 1946 and 1947 and was a member
    of Local 1139, International
    Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
    (AFL) and of Bacon Memorial
    Presbyterian Church.
    Survivors include his wife, the
    former Virginia Lee, and a daughter,
    Barbara Ann, at home; his
    parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence J.
    Boeldt; a sister, Miss Gloria A.
    Boeldt; his grandmother, Mrs. Mary
    Garland, all of this city; and a
    brother, Clarence J. Boeldt Jr., La
    Mesa, Calif.
    Funeral services will be conduct-
    ed at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bell
    Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Ray K.
    Hallin. Burial will be in Memorial
    Park Cemetery.

    JUDGE'S DAUGHTER TO WED IN SUMMER-Judge and Mrs.
    Thomas B. Lee. Chilton avenue, announce the engagement of their
    daughter, Virginia Betty to Mr. William Boeldt. son of Mr. and
    Mrs. Clarence Boeldt, Sixty-second street. Miss Lee, a graduate oof
    Niagara Falls high school. After a business course, she now is the
    secretary to Mr. Harry Blakeslee, principal of the Lewlston nigft
    school.
    After graduating from LaSalle high school Mr. Boeldt attended
    Trptt Vocational school. He spent 1 1/2 years In service In the Aleutian
    islands. At the present time he is employed by the Buffalo Niagara
    Electric corporation.
    Miss Lee and her fiance plan to be married in the early summer.

    The Bacon Memorial Presbyterian

    church was the setting this afternoon
    for the wedding ceremony
    uniting in marriage Miss Virginia
    Lee and William Boeldt, with the
    Rev. Ray E. Hallin officiating. The
    bride is the daughter of Judge and
    Mrs. Thomas Lee. Chilton avenue,
    and the bridegroom is the son of
    Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Boeldt, 6ixtty-
    second street.
    Palm* and ferns banked]the chancel
    where tall baskets of white gladioli
    and stately Easter lilies and
    candelabra provided an artistic background
    for the ceremony. - Places
    for the members of the Immediate
    families were marked off with mlniture
    candelabra and white flowers.
    Mrs. Maurice Russell, soloist, and
    Mr. Earl McOonnick, organist, furnished
    the musical setting.
    The bride entered the church
    on the arm of her father who gave
    her in marriage": She wore * gown
    of traditional white, the fitted bodice
    of sheer net with beaded trimming
    on the sweetheart neckline, the -full
    skirt of satin, ending in a court
    tratyi. Her finger tip length veil,
    edged with white applique, fell from
    a beaded crown of net. An arm
    bouquet of baby orchids centered
    with a large orchid was carried by
    the bridge.
    The weeding party Included Miss
    Ann "-Long, maid of honor; Miss
    Mary Louise LelnbadU and Mis*
    Nancy Lelnbach. Lockport, bridesmaids;
    Mr. Harry Cole, best man.
    and Mr. Robert Lee and Mr. John
    Lelnbach, ushers.
    The wedding reception was held
    in the parlors of the church Immediately
    after the ceremony. More
    than 150 guests were present. The
    buffet supper table was centered
    w l t h a wedding cake set in white
    flowers and dainty ferns.
    Later this afternoon Mr. Boeldt
    and his bride will leave for an ex
    tended Southern trip. The bride
    will wear a navy blue gabardine
    suit, with matching shade in the
    accessories and touches of cherry
    red. A corsage of orchids will com-
    plete her costume,

    Boeldt Sr., 197 62nd St.,
    celebrated their 50th wedding
    anniversary July 21, 1971 at a
    dinner held at the Crown and
    Anchor Restaurant.'
    The dinner was given by
    their son, Clarence Boeldt Jr.,
    of San Diego, Calif., and their
    daughter, Mrs. Donald Wirth,
    this city. It was attended by
    relatives and friends.
    Mr. Boeldt is retired from
    Niagara Mohawk where he was
    employed for 45 years. He and
    his wife reside in St. Peter-
    sburg, Fla., for six months
    each year.

    Frank Boeldt, 81. of 1354 Michigan
    avenue, a charter member of the
    Niagara Falls Exempt Firemen's
    association and the former Suspen-,
    sion Bridge Volunteer Fire company,
    who died Saturday at the Memorial
    hospital, will be held at 2 pjn..
    tomorrow it the Otto Redanz Funeral
    home, Michigan avenue and
    Tenth street. The Rev. Dr. Arthur
    H. Schmoyer. pastor of Zion
    Evangelical Lutheran church, Michigan
    avenue and Tenth street, will
    officiate. Interment will be in Oakwood
    cemetery.
    Mr. Boeldt suffered a fracture of
    the left hip when he slipped and
    fell as he was crossing the street at
    Portage road and Cedar avenue on
    February 19 while pn his way to
    the Exempt Firemen's home, 715
    Third street. He had been caretaker
    there 18 years.
    Born at Mecklenberg, Germany,
    July 4, 1865, a son of the late Gottlieb
    and Annabelle Fredriks Boeldt,
    he came to this city with his parents
    when he was six years old.
    He was employed as a foreman
    by the Aluminum Company of America
    until his retirement 18 years
    ago. Mr. Boeldt was a member of
    the company's 25-year club.
    On September 25, 1890, he was
    married to Miss Tillie Hoffman. She
    died March 17, 1916.
    Surviving are three daughters
    and two sons, Mrs. Edna B. Lass,
    Mrs. Clarence A. Lambert, Mrs.
    Herbert J. Maloney, Clarence J., and
    Carl E. Boeldt. all of this city and
    a sister, Mrs. Anna Robinson. Astabula,
    O. Fifteen grandchildren
    and three great-grandchildren also
    survive.

    Charles married HOFFMAN, Tilllie on 25 Sep 1890. Tilllie was born in Apr 1869 in Germany; died on 17 Mar 1916 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
