    TOWN OF NIAGARA -
    William G. Bolents, Jr., 65, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014. Born in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late William G. and Mary Belle (Clark) Bolents, Sr.
    William moved to the Niagara Falls are as a baby with his family. He attended local schools including Prince of Peace Elementary School, Bishop Duffy High School and Niagara University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree. While at Niagara University he served in their R.O.T.C. Program (Reserve Officer Training Corp) and later in the United States Army Reserves. On July 14, 1972, he married Deborah A. (Ross) Bolents at the former Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Bill worked as a carpenter with Laborers Local 91 while he was attending college. Afterwards he was employed as a lab technician for the Niagara Falls Sewer Department at which time he also served as a union steward for the Steel Workers Union. Bill went on to work for the Niagara Falls Water Board for thirty five years, working his way up to becoming the Director of Administrative Technical Services at the time of his retirement.
    William was a man of deep faith. He was an active member of the Wheatfield Community Church and former member of the Walnut Avenue Christian Church where he served on their Board of Trustees. He also served as a board member of several organizations including the; former Niagara Christian Academy School Board, and Christ the King Preparatory Academy. Bill also served on the Town of Niagara Assessment Review Board, and was a great advocate for the effect development would have on the residents of the Town of Niagara. In the early 1980s, he coached the Sammy's Pizzeria team in the Hyde Park Majors Little League. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, and especially liked hunting and fishing, and for many years was a season ticket holder for both the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. He also enjoyed listening to jazz music, jogging around Hyde Park with his dog, drives in the country and going to area auto and air shows. Most of all Bill enjoyed relaxing around bonfires in the summer with his family, especially his son-in-law, Mike.
    In addition to his wife of forty-one years, Mr. Bolents is survived by his two children, Ashleigh (Michael) Schwallie of Tonawanda, NY and Jonathan D. Bolents of the Town of Niagara, NY; two sisters, Gail (Al) Buffone of Niagara Falls, NY and Brenda (Richard) Splendido of Ransomville, NY; one brother, Clark (Cheryl) Bolents of Ransomville, NY; his mother-in-law, Mary Jane Ross of the Town of Niagara, NY; his best buddy and friend, Theodore; as well as several nieces and nephews.
    Visitation will be on Thursday from 3-8 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Friday, February 7th at 9:45 AM, followed at 10:30 AM at Forestview Church of God, 1250 Saunders Settlement Road, Lewiston, NY with Rev. Linda Badame officiating. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Lewiston, NY. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Michael J.     marriage of Miss Deborah Ann Ross and William
    G. Bolents Jr. Friday (July 14,1972) at Our Lady of
    the Rosary Church. The double ring ceremony took
    place at 6 p.m.
    The bride is the daughter of.
    Mrs. Mary Jane Ross, 619 21st
    St., and Anthony J. Ross Sr.,
    Bloomfield, N. J. The
    bridegroom is the son of Mr.
    and Mrs. William G. Bolents
    ST., 1023 N. Military Road.
    GIVEN IN MARRIAGE by
    her father, the bride was attired
    in a gown of ivory jersey
    with pearl beading trim at the
    V neckline, 'fitted bodice and
    cuffs of the long sleeves. The Aline
    skirt ended in a train. A
    headpiece of matching jersey
    and beading held her cathedral
    length illusion veil and she
    carried a fan shaped bouquet of
    pearl centered stephanotis and
    ^baby's breath trimmed with,
    gold leaves.
    Miss Susan O'Hara, maid of
    honor, wore an orchid jersey
    gown accented with a jeweled
    butterfly at the waist. She wore
    a headpiece of loops and
    flowers and carried an arm
    bouquet of white and orchid
    roses, daisies, delphiniums and
    baby's breath. Similarly attired
    in coral gowns were Miss
    Ann O'Hara, Miss: Brenda
    Bolents and.Miss Gail Bolents,
    sisters of the bridegroom; Miss
    Brenda Bedore and Mrs. John
    Dougherty. They carried coral
    and white bouquets.
    VICTOR FIGLER was best
    man. Ushers were Joseph
    Gravelle, F. Williams, Sal
    Palermo, Steven Linza and
    Gary Formica.
    A reception was held at the
    American Legion Hall, Portage
    Post.
    After a wedding trip to
    Paradise Island, the Bahamas,
    the couple will reside in this
    city.

    Joseph G. Bolents .57, of 204
    Seventy-second street, was pronounced
    dead on arrival at Memorial,
    hospital late yesterday after suffering
    a heart.attack at his home.
    A Fire department inhalator crew,
    under the direction of Battalion Chief
    Robert Calladine, worked for 25
    minutes in.an unsuccessful effort to
    revive him.
    Mr. Bolents had been reported in
    ill health since last November.
    The body was sent" from Cobler's'
    Funeral home here to the Nicholson
    Funeral home, Clearfield, Pa., for
    funeral services to be held on Friday.
    Burial will be in Frenchville, Pa.
    Born in Morresdale, Pa., Mr.
    Bolents had lived in. Niagara Falls
    for the last ten years.
    Surviving are his wife, Inez; a
    son, William Bolents, this-city; five
    daughters, Mrs. Wayne Bidwell, Mrs.
    George Jowdy, Miss DeSales Bolents,
    this city; Mrs. Russell Hile and Mrs.
    Earl Mann, Clearfield, Pa.; two
    brothers, John and Peter Bolents;
    four sisters, Mrs. Mike Perchake,
    Mrs. Jacob Koza, Mrs. Martin Vale
    and Mrs. Joseph Kubulek. He also
    is survived by eight grandchildren.
