    A quiet but pretty wedding was
    solemnized Wednesday, December
    15, at 4 o'clock, when Dorothy E.
    Madison, daughter of Mrs. Edward
    Chambers, of First street, became
    the bride of Mr. Harry A. Bookhout.
    son of Mrs. John Bookhout. of Maple
    avenue. The ceremony was performed
    in Calvary Lutheran church.
    McKoon avenue, with the Rev.
    Alwyn Prange officiating.
    The bride was becomingly gowned
    In a grey pin-stripe suit with
    matching topcoat, with which she
    wore an attractive Mademoiselle
    hat fashioned of purple flowers and
    fuchsia veiling. Wine accessories
    completed her ensemble. She wore
    a corsage of red roses and gardenias.
    The matron of honor, Mrs. Margaret
    Chambers, was attired In a
    beige suit with poudre blue accessories.
    She wore a corsage of
    yellow roses and gardenias.
    The bridegroom was attended by
    his brother, Mr. Raymond E. Bookhout,
    of Lockport.
    The mother of the bride wore a
    plum-colored dress with a corsage
    of pompoms and yellow roses. The
    mother of the bridegroom was attired
    in Air Force blue with wine
    accessories. She alio wore a corsage
    of pompoms and yellow roses.
    After the wedding a reception was
    held at the Red Coach Inn for the
    wedding party and immediate families.
    After a short wedding trip, the
    bride and bridegroom will be at
    home at 139 Seventy-ninth street.

    NIAGARA PALLS - Funeral
    services for Supervisor John E.
    Bookhout. «4, who died Monday
    night in Mt. St. Marys Hospital of
    a heart ailment, will be held at 3
    o'clock Thursday at hi« home, 1»5
    Maple Ave., and at 2:30 at Calvary
    Lutheran Church. Burial will be
    in Riverdale Cemetery.
    Representing the 13th ward on
    the Board of Supervisors for 8
    years, Mr. Bookhout retired a year
    ago after 44 years of service with
    the New York Central Railroad
    during which time he was yard
    master and station master in Niagara
    Falls. Ill health forced his
    retirement.
    He was born m Berwick, Ont..
    later lived in Syracuse and came
    to Niagara Falls in 1900. He was
    a member of Niagara River Lodge
    FAM and the Brotherhood of Railway
    Trainmen.
    Survivors include his wife, Mrs.
    Nellie Bookhout; a daughter, Mrs.
    Phyllis Sales: and two sons, Harry
    Bookhout, Niagara Falls; Raymond
    Bookhout, Lockport; and a brother,
    Albert Bookhout, Berwick.

    Mrs-. Nellie M. Bookhout,
    79, of 1225 Maple Ave., former
    member of the Niagara
    County Board of Supervisors,
    died Tuesday (April 29. 1958)
    at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital
    after a long illness.
    She was bom in New fane and
    lived here for 65 years. She represented
    the 12th Ward on the
    board, filling out the term of her
    husband, John F. Bookhout. who
    died in 1942 after 12 years on the
    board.
    She was a charter member of
    Niagara Frontier Chapter No.
    658. Order of the Eastern Star,
    and Court No. 30. Order of Amaranth.
    She also was a member of the
    Calvary Evangelical L u t h e r an
    Church, past vice president of the
    Niagara Falls Women's Republi-
    can Club and a member of the
    women's auxiliary of the Brother-
    hood of Railway Trainmen, Local
    No. 330.
    She was founder of the Iadies
    Missionary Aid Society of the
    church.
    Mrs. Bookhout is survived by
    two sons, Harry A. Bookhout,
    Tonawanda, and Raymond H.
    Bookhout, Lockport; a daughter,
    Mrs. Phyllis Sales, this city; a
    sister, Miss Bessie LaFevre, New-
    fane, eight grandchildren and
    three great-grandchildien.
    Friends may call at the Bell
    Funeral Home until noon Friday.
    Funeral services will be held at
    the Calvary Evangelical Lutheran
    Church at 2 p.m. Friday with the
    Rev. Alvin F. Burns, officiating.
    A memorial service will be con-
    ducted by the Order of the Eastern
    Star at 7 p.m. Thursday at the
    funeral home.
    Burial will be in Riverdale
    Cemetery.
