    veteran, of 129 William St.,
    Hied Tuesday (July 9, 1963) at
    Buffalo Veterans Hospital aft-
    er a brief illness.
    He was a lifelong resident
    of this city. He conducted his
    own meat market in Schenck
    Street, North Tonawanda, for
    many years. For the past five
    years he was employed by
    Canton Markets.
    He was a member of Salem
    United Church of Christ and
    the brotherhood of the church,
    and was a life member of the
    American Legion Tonawandas
    Post No. 264.
    He is survived by his wife,
    Ida Acksel Pfanner; a daughter,
    Mrs. R o c c o Scarfone,
    North Tonawanda; two sisters,
    Miss Viola Pfanner and Mrs.
    Albert Everett,, both of this
    city; and two grandchildren.
    Funeral servicer will be held
    at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Roth
    Funeral Home, Rev. Donald
    Gardella officiating. B u r i al
    will be in White Chapel Memorial
    Park.

    PFANNER - Ida A. Pfanner, 80, of North Tonawanda, Thursday (March 8, 1979) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Pfanner was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, the North Tonawanda Senior Citizens and the Salem League. Wife of the late Fred Pfanner, she is survived by one step-daughter, Mrs. Loris (Jean) Derian; one brother, Arnold Acksel and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Kolloff, all of North Tonawanda; grandmother of three grandchildren, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Wattengel Funeral Home, Inc., 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda where services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., the Rev. William P. Hennessy officiating. Burial White Chapel Cemetery.

Born in Bergboltz, she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of the Salem Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Womens Guild of the Church. Her husband, the late George A. Pfanner, died in 1941. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Albert Everett, Miss Viola Pfanner; two sons, Fred R. and Edward C; six grand and three great-grandchildren, all of Tonawanda; five sisters, Mrs. Herman Mielke, Mrs. Edward Wendt, Mrs. Fred Van de Water, all of Pekto, N. Y.. Mrs. William Strassburg of Redondo, Calif., Mrs. Louis Horsack of Rochester; three brothers, Chistlan Strassburg of North Tonawanda, Phillip and William Strassburg of Pekin. Friends may call at the residence, 183 Grove St., where funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Walter F. Hetzel will officiate. Burial will be to White Chapel Memorial Park. At the expressed request of the deceased, flowers are gratefully declined.

    NORTH TONAWAND A - Mrs
    Augusta Acksel, 80, died yesterday
    at her home, 303 Bryant street. She
    was born in Germany and has re-
    sided in this city the last 60 years.
    She was a member of St. Peter's
    Lutheran church. Surviving are
    two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Westphal,
    of Buffalo, and Miss Ida Acksel, of
    this city; one son, Arnold Acksel, of
    this city and seven grandchildren.
    The funeral will be held Monday
    at 2 p.m. at the home. The Rev.
    Robert Hein will officiate. Inter-
    ment will be in St. Peter's cemetery.
