    Miss Jessie E. Bossard, daughter
    of Mrs. Charles E. Bossard, and Harold
    B. Genung, Cornell 19, son of Dr.
    and Mrs. John A, Genung, were married
    at the home of the bride's mother,
    419 North Cayuga Street, at 9 o'clock
    last evening. The ceremony was witnessed
    by the immediate families.
    Mr. and Mrs. Genung left last night
    for a wedding trip to New York City
    and Washington.
    The bride is a popular Ithaca young
    woman. She was graduated from the
    Ithaca High School with the class of
    1918, and is a member of Adelphia
    Sorority.
    The bridegroom was graduated from
    the High School with the class of
    1016, and is a member of the Alpha
    Zeta fraternity high school, and
    Omega Tan Sigma, collegiate. He is
    a member of the class of 1916 in the
    New York State College of Veterinary
    Surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Genung will
    live at 410 North Cayuga Street
    Mr. Genung, who is a popular member
    of the Ithaca Fire Department and
    prominent in company No. 8. was tendered
    a parting ovation by members
    of "3's", who gathered in a body at
    the Bossard home, immediately following
    the ceremony, to congratulate
    the young couple. The bride and
    bridegroom, however, made a detour
    that completely foiled the gathered
    firemen, only one of whom, Capt
    "Deak" Tailby, located their whereabouts.
    Captain Tailby reported on
    returning from his investigation that
    as the official representative of the
    company he had transacted all business
    necessary to an "official'* farewell
    and that the newlyweds had
    clambered into a waiting automobile
    in Sears Street and escaped.
