    RAMAH, NM -
    Jerry W. Toellner, age 70, of Ramah, NM, went to be with his Heavenly Father on April 18, 2014. He died peacefully at his Gilbert, AZ home surrounded by family. He was born on July 12, 1943 in North Tonawanda, NY, where he was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 463 and worked over 20 years for Haseley Trucking.
    Jerry was also a 50-year member of the St. Johnsburg Volunteer Fire Department there. He moved to Arizona in 1986 where he started his own business J & J Excavating & Grading. Once retiring, he moved to Ramah, NM, where he built his dream home in the tall pines of Timberlake Ranch. He was active in the community and served as a member of the board of directors responsible for all road maintenance, repair and snow removal. His greatest love was his family and his hobbies included hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR. Jerry never knew a stranger, he talked to anyone and was loved by everyone.
    Predeceased by his daughter, Michele. He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Jill Pennington (Mike) and Stacy Smith-Mills (Mark); grandchildren, Shelby, Lacey, Dillon, Dalton, Ryan and Tyler; and sisters, Betty Brown and JoAnn Durick of North Tonawanda, NY.
    Visitation will be on Friday, April 25th from 5-8 PM at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 E. Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85207. Service will be on Saturday, April 26th at 1:00 PM at Christ's Greenfield Lutheran Church, 425 S. Greenfield Rd., Gilbert, AZ 85234. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Jerry to Christ's Greenfield Lutheran Church.

    entertained friends, relatives and
    neighbors last evening in honor'of
    Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Toellner, who
    were recently married In St. John's
    parsonage. A delicious chicken dinner
    was served. Mrs. Toellner, who before
    her marriage was Miss Hilda
    Belgraan, wore her wedding gown,
    which was of peach taffeta, floor

    CAMBRIA -- Violet A. Steingasser, formerly of Wheatfield, died Wednesday in her granddaughter's home after an illness of five months. She was 90.
    Born Violet Becken in Lewiston, she attended local schools.
    Mrs. Steingasser was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, and her hobbies included gardening, crafts, sewing and traveling.
    Her husband of 49 years, Jacob L., died in 1986.
    Survivors include three daughters, Carol Shafer of Newport, TN., Judith Toellner of Queen Creek, Ariz., and Joyce Schmidt of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sons, Larry of Sanborn and Robert of Wheatfield; a sister, Jean Walck of Sanborn; a brother, Carl Becken of Sanborn; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Dubois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park, Amherst.

    NORTH TONAWANDA - Henry J. Siegmann, 73, of 6826 Errlck Road, Wheatfield, died Monday (Nov. 1, 1965) in De Graff Memorial Hospital. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and of the St. Johnsburg Volunteer Fire Co. Mr. Siegmann was formerly employed at the Buffalo Bolt Co. here, for 15 years, until the time of the plant closing. He also operated a small farm on the Errick Road property. Survivors include his widow, the former Appolonia Williams; a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Hilda) Toellner, Wheatfield; a sister , Mrs. Anna Jagow, Pendleton, and three grandchildren, Mrs. Herbert (Betty) Brown, .this city, and Joann and Jerry Toellner, Wheatfield. Friends may call at tfhe Fretthold Funeratl Home until 10 a.m. Thursday. Services will be conducted at St. John's Church at 2 p.m. Thursday by Rev. Clarence W. Rabe. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    A very pretty wedding was solemnized
    last evening at 7 o'clock at the
    Holy Ghost church at Bergholtz, when
    Miss Appolonia Williams, daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. August Williams of La
    Salle and Mr. Henry Seigman of St.
    Johnsburg were united in marriage by
    the Rev. Mr. Stark. The bride was
    gowneu in white silk and wore a veil
    caught with bride's roses. She carried
    a shower bouquet of white carnations.
    The maid-of-honor was Miss
    Ella Williams and the bride's maid
    was Miss Minnie Miller. Mr. August
    Seigman was best man and Mr. Ar-
    thur Williams was usher. A reception
    was held at the home ol the
    bride's parents.

    MARRIED 50 YEARS: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Becken of Sanborn,
    above, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary
    Saturday at a reception and dinner in the Sanborn firehall.
    All their wedding attendants wore present. Except for a.
    brief period, Mr. Becken has funned most of his married
    life. For ten years he farmed the Carroll brothers farm in
    Pekin and since 1931. when he purchased a 172 acre farm in
    Upper Mountain Rd., has tilled his own land. Mr. and Mrs.
    Recken's family consists of four sons and two daughters,
    Ervin, Harold and Carl Becken, Pekin, Chester Becken,
    Lockport, Mrs. Jacob Steingasser, S a n b o r n and Mrs.
    Lawrence Walck, Pekin. They have 17 grandchildren and
    nine great grandchildren. Attendants present for the anniversary
    event were Mrs. Pauline Dirmyer, Mrs. Becken's
    sister of Tonawanda: Mrs. Ruth Welch, Gasport and Mrs.
    Louise Lee. Pekin: George Dirmyer; Edward Becken of
    Niagara Falls and Charles Hermann of Cleveland.
