    LOCKPORT, Dec. 13 - Top tur-
    ret gunner on a B-17 and a member
    of a bomber squadron of the Eighth
    Army Air Force. Technical Sergeant
    Donald W. Bourlier. 22, only son of
    Mr and Mrs. Charles D. Bourlier. of
    87 corinthia street, was reported
    today missing in action over Ger-
    any since November 21 according
    to a War department telegram re-
    ceived by his parents.
    Overseas since last April. Techni-
    cal Sergeant Bourlier was awarded
    the Air Medal six months ago. Born
    in North Tonawanda, he attended
    the Lockport high school. He was
    employed by the Chevrolet Motor
    and Axle division of the General
    Motors corporation before entering
    the service in November, 1942.

    A Gold Star Mother, Mrs
    Frances E. Bourlier, 68, of 87
    Corinthia St., died unexpected*
    ly Sunday .evening (Dec. 19,
    1985) at Mount View Hospital.
    The fire department rescue
    squad had been called at 10:07
    p.m. to assist Mrs. Bourlier who
    was having difficulty breathing.
    After the Inhalator had been
    used for 23 minutes, Mrs. Bourlier
    was taken to the hospital
    by Emergency Ambulance. She
    died a short time later.
    A lifelong resident of Lockport,
    she was born here on Dec.
    12, 1897, the daughter of Charles
    and Jessie Fulcher Welch.
    She was chaplain of the Veterans
    of Foreign Wars Auxiliary,
    an officer of Myrtle Rebekah
    Lodge 84; a member of
    Angelus Chapter 559, OES, and
    of the First Presbyterian
    Church.
    Her son, the late Donald W.
    Bourlier, a staff sergeant in the
    Air Force, was killed in action
    over Germany on Nov. 21, 1944.
    She leaves her husband,
    Charles D. Bourlier; two daughtes,
    Mrs. Jean Hiam and Mrs.
    Robert Guay, both of Lockport;
    a sister, Mrs. Lillian Wright
    and a brother, Jesse Welch, both
    of Lockport, and five grandchildren.
    Beginning this evening, friends
    may call at the Prudden and
    and Kandt Funeral Home, 242
    Genesee Stm, where funeral services
    will be held Wednesday at
    2 p.m. Dr. W. James Westhafer
    0f the First Presbyterian Church
    will officiate.
    Burial will be in Glenwood
    Cemetery

    anniversary with a reception at

    89, died yesterday afternoon In
    his home, 258 Fredericks street
    North'Tonawanda. He was born
    in Oswego county and resided In
    the Tonawandas during the past
    41 years. He was a member ot
    the Third Presbyterian church and
    a member of the Junior Order U.
    A M , He is survived by his
    wife, Ida, nee Gust, two sons,
    Charles D., of Lockport and Haven
    L. ,of North Tonawanda and ons
    daughter, Mrs. Arthur Seguin of
    Tonawanda, He Is also survived
    by four grandchildren. Also surviving
    him are his father, George
    Bourlier of Saginaw, Mich., one
    brother, William of Detroit and
    one sister, Mrs. William Gleason
    Saginaw, Mich. The funeral will be
    Monday at 2:30 from the residence.
    The Rev. William H.
    Saye, pastor of the Third Presbybyterian
    church will officiate.
    Burial will be in Elmlawn.

    died Thursday night

    She was the widow of George
    Bourlier who died 25 years ago.
    Surviving are two sons and one
    daughter, Charles Bourlier of
    Lockport, Mrs. Ella Sequine and
    Haven Bourlier, both of North
    Tonawanda; three grandchildren
    and six great-grandchildren.
