    Miss Helen Elizabeth Bourque, daugh-
    ter„.of'Mrs. Joseph A. Bourque, Ryerson
    Crescent was married: to Edward M.
    Scherer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman
    J. Scherer, of Niagara Falls, N..Y. in
    St. Patrick's church, Saturday, May
    26th, at eleven o'clock. The Rev. Father
    Gardner officiated.
    The church was attractively. decorated
    with Narcissus and pink tulips.
    Mr. Jack Brett sang before and during
    the ceremony accompanied by Miss
    Marguerite Cox.
    The bride' was escorted by her bro-
    ther. She was frocked In Orchid crepe
    with a tight bodice and full ruffled
    skirt and wore a picture-hat of Orchid
    Mohair. She carried an armful of
    two-toned lavender sweet peas and yel-
    low roses.
    Miss Marie Bourque was her sister's
    maid of honor and only attendant, She
    wore.a gown of beige crepe romatine
    and lace with a large hat of beige lace
    and horsehair. She carried a bouquet of
    coral sweet peas and forget-me-nots.
    Robert J. Brennan was best man for
    Mr. Scherer whose ushers were Gene J.
    Perry and Gerald J. Daley.
    A reception was held at the home of
    the bride's mother. The house was pro-
    fusely "decorated with lilacs and Darwin
    tulips.
    ^Mr*" and Mrs. Scherer left by motor
    for the New Jersey coast. Mrs. Scherer
    travelling in a brown and tan ensem-
    ble.
    The out of town guests included Mr.
    and Mrs. A. Lard, Mr. and Mr. A.
    Cashman, Toronto, Mr. and Mrs. J.
    Kennedy, Mr. and Mrs. W. Warnke,
    Mr. and Mrs. T. Bourque, Mr. and Mrs.
    W. Pothler. Misses Margaret and Agnes
    Kennedy, Mrs. W. Baker,- Hamilton
    Mr. and Mrs. J. MacDonald, Mr. and
    Mrs. F. Lannon. Buffalo.
