    Angelo Charles Leo, 77, of
    715 85th St., died today (March
    12, 1963) at Memorial Hospital
    after a short illness.
    Born in Italy, Mr. Leo came
    to this city 55 years ago. He
    worked as a railroad man for
    Lehigh Railroad for 53 years,
    retiring in 1958.
    He is survived by his wife,
    Mrs. Angeline Leo; his foster
    father, Roberto Gabrielli; seven
    sons, James, August Anthony,
    Louis, Charles, Harry
    and Rocco Leo, all of this city;
    two daughters, Mrs. William
    Reid and Mrs. Fred Gabrielli,
    both of this city; two brothers,
    Ernest J> Leo and William
    Gabrielli and five sisters. Mrs.
    Josephine Baldassaro, Mrs.
    Linda Cutonilli, Mrs. Agnes
    Marcucci, Mrs. Ella Bove and
    Mrs. Elva Augustina, all of
    this city.
    Funeral services will be held
    Friday at 8:30 a.m. at the Magaddino
    Memorial Chapel Inc.
    and at 0:30 a.m. at the Prince
    of Peace Church. Burial will
    be in the Gate of H e a v en
    Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the funeral
    chapel after 1 p.m. Wednesday.

    Mrs. Maria Gabrielli of 2749 Forest Ave., known to
    hundreds of kids of another generation as "Non," is
    dead.
    She died today (Feb. 5, 1962) at the home of two ,
    of her daughters where she had been living with her
    memories since retiring from her grocery store business.
    several years ago.
    She would have celebrated
    her 95th birthday anniversary
    on Feb. 14.
    In addition to four sons and
    five daughters, Mrs. Gabrielli
    is survived by 45 grandchildren,
    92 greatgrandchildren
    and 6 great-greatgrandchildren.
    Mrs. Gabrielli, a resident
    here 50 years, opened her
    first grocery store in Italy at
    the age of 18 and for many
    years operated a store at.2712
    10th St. here.
    Known at "Non"
    To hundreds of children in
    that area she was known as
    "Non" a contraction of nona,
    Italian term for grandmother.
    Even the kids of Irish
    descent who patronized her
    store used the knickname,
    pronounced "nawn.". They
    thought It was her name when
    they heard Mrs. Gabrielli's
    grandchildren using it.
    Born in Italy, she early
    showed a flair for business
    and opened a store in Villa
    St. Stefano; near Rome, at the
    age of 18, shortly after she
    married her first husband,
    Vincent Leo. Several years
    after his death she married
    Mr. Gabrielli and the family
    eventually came to this country.
    Mrs. Gabrielli was soon in
    business here and for a time
    ran two grocery stores, the
    second one at 13th Street and
    Center Avenue..
    Retired at 87
    She gave up business at the
    age of 87, after breaking her
    hip in a fall. At 90 she underwent
    surgery.
    Mrs. Gabrielli is survived
    by sons Charles, Joseph and
    Ernest Leo and William Gabrielli,
    and five daughters, Mrs.
    Josephine Baldassaro, Mrs.
    Arthur ' Marcucci, Mrs. Guy
    Cutonilli, Mrs. Gabriela Bove
    and Mrs. Angelo Augustino,
    all of this city. Several nieces
    and nephews also survive.
    One of her sons, Joseph Leo,
    served In World War I and
    another, William Gabrielli,
    served in World War II. Fourteen
    of her grandsons also
    served in World War II.
    She lived with Mrs. Bove
    arid Mrs. Augustino.
    Servicces will be held Wednesday
    at 9:15 a.m. at the
    Magaddino Memorial Chapel
    and at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of
    Mt. Carmcl Church.
    Burial will be In Gate of
    Heaven Cemetery.
