    LOCKPORT -
    Nettie Ann Heiman passed away on May 1, 2014 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in Lockport on January 2, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Henry and Marjorie (nee Phillips) Heiman DDS.
    Nettie graduated from Sister's Hospital Nursing School with her RN, and worked for 25 years at Mount View Health Care Facility, retiring in 1985. She enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and the New York Yankees, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her special friends.
    Nettie was the mother of Maureen (Robert) Kaszuba of Newfane, Michael (Karen) Stevenson of Naples, FL, Patrick Stevenson of Naples, FL, Kevin (Pamela) Stevenson of Lockport and her favorite, Tim (Karen) Stevenson of Centerville, MN; grandmother of Jill (Thomas) Voss, Nicholas Kaszuba, Andrew Kaszuba, Jennifer Stevenson, Thomas Stevenson, Kevin Patrick Stevenson, Frances Marie Stevenson and Everett Fitzgerald Stevenson. She is also survived by her dear friend, Michelle Baes-Landsheft; and will be sadly missed by her cat, Edward.
    Friends may call on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 4-8PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 8, 2014 at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Roswell Park Alliance, P.O. Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240, would be appreciated by the family.

    Mary M. Heiman Dies in 86th Year
    A native of Wolcottsburg, Mrs. Mary M. Heiman, widow of Henry H. Heiman, died early today in Lockport where she had made her home for about 50 years. She would have been 86 years old on April 5. Mrs. Heiman was the daughter of August and Wilhelmine Loeschke Gombert. She was married at Wolcottsburg where her husband died in 1903. For about 35 years she worked as a practical nurse. Surviving are two sons, Rudolph H. and Henry H. Heiman of Lockport; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 o'clock at the Prudden Funeral Home 342 Genesee St. Burial will be in the convenience of the family.
