Mrs. Dorothy T. Bowen of
149 Davison Road died Sunday
in Buffalo after a lengthy illness.
Born in Lockport, she was
the daughter of William and
Mary Wilson Drean.
She is survived by her hus
band, William; two sons, John
A. Kemp of Lockport and Samuel
R. Kemp of Elmira; a
daughter, Mrs. William (Audrey)
Patterson of Lancaster;
one sister and one brother, Mrs.
Jae (Viola) Tice and Millard J.
Thompson, both of Lockport;
and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2:30
p.m. Tuesday at Taylor and
Reynolds Funeral Home, Niagara
at N. Transit Street, where
funeral services will be held at
11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev.
Robert A. Eggenschiller officiating.
Burial will be in Cold Spring
Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Wilson Devereaux,
72, of 281 Ontario St., a life-long
resident of Lockport, died Tuesday
evening in Lockport City Hospital.
She had been in ill health for a
long time.
Mrs. Devereaux, the daughter
of the late George and Theresa
Cutter Wilson, was born la the
Town of Lockport in 1882. She at
tended local schools and was a
social member of the Sequa Council,
Degree of Pocahontas.
She is survived by her husband
John Devereaux; two sons, Albert
Drean, North Hollywood. Calif.
and Millard Thompson of Lockport;
two daughters, Mrs. William
Bowen and Mrs. Viola Sterling of
Lockport. four step-children, Mrs.
Stephen Taylor of Buffalo, John
Devereaux, Jr., Mrs. John Nolan
and James Devereaux, all of Lockport;
17 grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren,
a sister, Mrs. Leslie
DeGroff and a brother, Morris
Cutter, both of Lockport.
The Rev. John J. Daly, pastor
of St. Anthony's Catholic Church,
will conduct services at the Gaul
Funeral Home. 263 East Ave. at
9 o'clock Saturday and at St. Anthony's
at 9:59. Burial will be in
St. Patrick's Cemetery.
