    LOCKPORT -
    Doris H. Marker passed away after a brief illness on May 8, 2014 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in Pendleton, NY on February 15, 1929, she was the daughter of the late William and Esther Werth Schultz.
    Doris graduated Lockport High School in June 1946, received her RN from Millard Fillmore Hospital School of Nursing in September 1949. She worked at Lockport Memorial Hospital for 33 years, retiring in 1982. She also worked at St. Clare Manor for many years in Lockport, and volunteered at Niagara Hospice. Doris enjoyed playing cards, knitting and crocheting and was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Doris married LeRoy E. Marker on November 24, 1949. Sadly, he passed August 2, 1985. She is also predeceased by her siblings, Howard Schultz and Mabel Weyers.
    Doris is survived by her sons, James (Nancy) Marker of Port St. Lucie, FL and David (Helen) Marker of Lockport; grandmother of Timothy (Gina) Marker, Heather (Andrew) Rosenberg of Lockport, Jason (Esther) Marker, Shaun (Maria) Marker, Jonathan (Kristen) Marker, Joshua (Kristen) Marker. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Michael and Hannah Marker, Madisen, Matthew and Benjamin Rosenberg, Zoe Marker, Mason and Elliot Marker.
    Friends may call Tuesday 3-7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held on Wednesday morning at 10 AM. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials to the American Lung Association, 210 John Glenn Drive # 3, Buffalo, NY 14228, would be appreciated by the family.

    LOCKPORT- William F. Schulz, 73, a S. Transit road farmer for the last 29 years, died Sunday (Jan. 20, 1957) at his home after a long illness. Mr. Schulz was born in Bergholtz, Aug. 31, 1883, the son of the late William F. and Carolina Goerss Schulz. He had engaged in farming most of his life. Before moving to his Town of Lockport farm, Mr. Schulz farmed on Shawnee road. From 1939 until 1949, he was employed part time by the Bardon Roberson Co.. this city. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lockport. Mr. Schulz is survived by his wife, Esther A. Werth Schulz; two daughters and a son, Mrs. Milton Weyers, Medina. Howard Schulz, at home, and Mrs. LeRoy Marker, this citv; a sister and two brothers, Mrs. Ada Wendt, Buffalo, B. W. Schulz, North Tonawanda, and Amos A. Schulz, Sanborn, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

    LOCKPORT - Mrs. Esther A. Schulz of 8082 South Transit Road, died on her 77th birthday Wednesday (Feb 25, 1970) at Lockport; Memorial Hospital after a ten week illness. Born in St. Johnsburg, Feb. 25, 1893, she was the daughter of William and Anna Miller Werth. She was the widow of William F. Schulz, who died 13 years ago, and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church here. She is survived by a son, Howard W. Schulz of Lockport; two, daughters, Mrs. Milton (Mabel) Weyers of Medina and Mrs. LeRoy (Doris) Marker of Lockport; three grandsons; two brothers, Phillip and Paul Werth, both of Lockport, and two step-brothers, Benjamin Werth of the Town of Cambria and Edward Werth of the Town of Wheatfield and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Ernest E. Heuer of the Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Wright's Corners Cemetery.

    NORTH TONAWANDA, Mar. 30-Mrs. Caroline Schulz, 86 years old died yesterday at her home, 61 East Felton street, after a long illness. Born in Bergholz, she had lived in North Tonawanda during the past 12 years. Two daughters, Mrs. Adolph Schroeder and Mrs. Alexander Wendt, Pekin; four sons, Joseph and Amose (sic), Pekin; Benjamin, North Tonawanda, and William, Lockport; 22 grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. William Ferchen, Bergholtz, and a brother, William Goerss, North Tonawanda, survive.
    The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home and half an hour later at St. Mark's church on Washington street. The Rev. Paul Fretthold will conduct the services and burial will be in the St. Andrew's cemetery in Pekin.

    PEKIN. Feb. 2 - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Werth. who died at the home of her son, Philip Werth. of the Lockport road, on Sunday, were held at the home of her son. Philip, on Tuesday. Mrs. Werth was born August 16, 1859. Besides her husband. William, she is survived by another son and one daughter, Paul Werth and Mr William Schultz, town of Pendleton; two step-sons and one stepdaughter, Benjamin Werth, town of Cambria; Edward Werth, town of Wheatfield, and Mrs. John Schraeder, Upper Mountain road, and also by 10 grandchildren. The Rev. Schmidt, pastor of St Andrews Lutheran church, had charge of the services at the home at 1:30 o'clock and at the church at 2:30 o'clock. Mrs. Schmidt and Miss Margaret Schraeder sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" at the house and 'For Me to Live Is Jesus" at the church. The pallbearers were Glen Hall, Edward Moje, George Wittkop, Lawrence Klinamitch. William Krull and Adolph Schraeder. Burial was in St. Johnsburg cemetery.
