    carnations and ivy decorated
    the altar of St. Joseph's
    Church in Lockport when
    Miss Marlene Anne Parker
    became the bride of Milton
    A. Bower at 11 a.m., Saturday,
    July 27, 1968.
    The Rev. Robert E. Mc-
    Namara officiated at the
    double - ring nuptial mass.
    The Rev. James Burdick, of
    the Rapids Christian Chapel,
    offered a prayer. Donald
    Chaplain was organist.
    The bride is the daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. James W.
    Parker of 353 Akron St.,
    Lockport. The bridegroom
    is the son of Mrs. Helen
    Bower of 6691 Moyer Road,
    Town of Royalton, and the
    late Lester Bower.
    When Mr. Parker gave his
    daughter in marriage, she
    wore a full - length natural
    - waisted sheath of white
    peau de souie with a scalloped
    neckline, three - quarter
    length sleeves, enhanced
    by a full length chapel
    train with scattered Alencon
    lace on the gown and train.
    Her matching headpiece in
    a pill box with Alencon lace
    and seed pearls held her
    cathedral - length illusion
    veil as she carried a cascade
    bouquet of white orchids
    and bridal roses.
    Mrs. Brian Smith, of Tonawanda,
    N.Y., was matron
    of honor. She wore a floor
    lengm empire - style sheath
    of pink rayon faille with a
    white Venician over laced
    bodice and a back panel of
    pink satin and white lace.
    Similarity attired • as
    bridesmaids were Miss Suzanne
    Wilson, of Lockport
    and Mrs. Marvin Sweryda
    of Webster, N. Y., sister of
    the groom.
    Miss Coleen Sweryda,
    niece of the groom, was
    flower girl. Jeffery Bower,
    nephew of the groom, was
    ring bearer.
    Lester Bower, brother of
    the groom, was best man.
    Ushers were Leonard and
    Roger Bower, brothers of
    the groom.
    A wedding luncheon followed
    immediately at the
    American Legion Hall where
    the reception was held from
    5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
    After a wedding trip to
    Washington, D. C, and Tennessee,
    the couple will temporarily
    make their home
    on Riddle Road, Town of
    Royalton.
    The bride is a graduate of
    Lockport Senior High School
    and Bryant & Stratum Business
    Institute. She is presently
    employed as payroll
    clerk at Ferree Plastics,
    Inc. The groom is a graduate
    of Akron Central School
    and served two years with
    the U. S. Army in Germany.
    He is presently employed
    by Harrison Radiator Division
    of GMC.
