Eugene W. Maynard, 46. of 279
Grand St., died of a heart attack
(Jane 4, 1959) in New-
fane.
A resident of Lockport for the
past 18 years. Mr. Maynard was
born Sept 8, 1912 In the Town of
Hartland. the son of William and
Alice Bowers Maynard. He was
employed as a car salesman at
the Newfane Garage since 1956
Mr. Maynard was • member
of the Newfane Conservation Club
and Lockport Lodge 41. BPOE.
He is survived by his wife, the
former Helen Burns; a son. Gary
Gene; his mother, Mrs. Alice
Maynard. Medina; five sisters,
Mrs. Paul Goetze. Mrs. Walter
Goetze and Mrs. Wilson King, all
of Lyndonville; Mrs. John Witcop,
Lockport. and Mrs. Paul Hedley,
Olcott; four brothers. Frank. Medina;
Edward, Lyndonville;
Charles. Newfane, and Arthur,,
Gasport, and several nieces and
nephews.
The Rev. Floyd H. Barackman
of Grace Baptist Church,, New-
fane, will officiate at services in
the Glen H. Corwin Funeral
Home, Inc., 2670 Main St.,, New-
fane, at 2:30 Monday afternoon.
Burial will be in Hartland Cen-
tral Cemetery.

MEDINA - Mrs. Alice M. Maynard,
80, of 336 N. Main St.. Medina,
died Sunday (June 14. 1958)
in Medina Memorial Hospital.
Her survivors Include 39 grandchildren,
57 great-grandchildren
and one great-great-grandchild
Mrs. Maynard was born on
Nov. 16, 1879, the daughter of
Louisa Southwick and Andrew
Bowers. Her husband, William,
died recently. A son, Eugene W
Maynard of Lockport, died June
4.
She was a member of the Quaker
Rd. and Medina Methodist
Churches.
Other survivors include five
daughters, Mrs. Paul Goetze and
Mrs. Walter Goetze, both of Lyndonville,
Mrs. John Wittcop of
Lockport, Mrs. Wilson King of
Medina. Mrs. Paul Hedley of Ol-
cott; four sons, Frank of Medina,
Edward of Lyndonville, Charles
of Newfane, and Arthur of Gasport;
one brother, Roy Bowers of
Barker; two sisters. Mrs. Ethel
Meland of Barker and Miss Lillian
Bowers of Albion.
Friends may call at the Hood
Funeral Home, Barker, from 2 to
5 and 7 to 9:30. Services will be
held from the Quaker Rd. Methodist
Church Wednesday afternoon
at 2. Contributions may be
made to the Medina Memorial
Hospital building fund. Burial
will be in Hartland Central Cem
etery.

Andrew Bowers died Thursday of
old age inflrmatives. The funeral
was held Sunday afternoon at 2
o'clock at the home of his daughter.
Mrs. Charles Meland, Coleman
road. Barker. The Rev. W. J. Harrington
of the Barker M. E. church
will officiate. Interment will be at
Somerset.
Mr. Bowers was well known in
this community where he had spent
his entire life.
He is survived by one son, Ray
Bowers of Barker, and several
daughters, Mrs. Charles Meland,
Mrs. Maynard of Barker, Miss Lil-
lian Bowers of Lyndonville, and
several grandchildren
