Florence I. Hubbard, of Pekin, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the home of her daughter, under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on January 4, 1926, the daughter of the late William and Beatrice (Hill) Keetch.
Mrs. Hubbard graduated from LaSalle High School and from Niagara County Community College.
She was a book keeper with SKW Alloys in Niagara Falls, for over 25 years before retiring. Mrs. Hubbard was also a co-owner of the Shutters & Boards Bar. She was a life-member of the Pekin Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Hubbard enjoyed camping, traveling and reading.
She was the wife of the late George Hubbard and Chester Kaczor. Mrs. Hubbard is survived by four sons, George (Marilyn) Hubbard of Rexford, NY, William Kaczor and John (Rose) Hubbard, both of Niagara Falls, NY, Robert (Linda) Kaczor of Lockport, NY; one daughter, Janet (David) Wilson of Pekin; a son-in-law, Edward Snyder; three brothers, Clarence (late Gwendolyn) Keetch, Edward (JoAnn) Keetch and Lawrence (Delores) Keetch; one sister, Margaret (Mert) Myers. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hubbard was the mother of the late Sidney Hubbard and the late Katherine Snyder.
The family will be present on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. James R. Bastian officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094. Interment at Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
