    The Immanuel Lutheran Church at Ridgewood
    will be the scene at 7 this evening of the ceremony
    uniting Miss Mida Jane Morson and Sgt. Donald
    Bernard Bowes. The couple will exchange their nuptial
    vows before the Rev. August P. Kreutz, in the
    chancel, decorated with white gladioli, pink carnations
    and garden flowers.
    The bride is the daughter of "
    Mr. and Mrs. Stewart S. Morson
    of 6836 Ridge Rd. The
    groom is the son of Mr. and
    Mrs. William Bowes of Newfane.
    Given in marriage by her
    father, the bride will wear a
    silk organza floor • length
    gown with a Sabrina neckline,
    Chantilly lace bodice
    and long tapered sleeves. Her
    bouffant skirt is enhanced by
    lace and rosettes. A leafy
    pauf of silk organza trimmed
    with sequins and pearls holds
    her silk illusion veil.
    She will carry a single giant
    white glamellia.
    NILE GREEN TAFFETA
    Mrs. Paul Roetling of Depew,
    as matron of honor, will
    wear a gown of embroidered
    sheer nylon over nile green
    taffeta. Her fitted bodice has
    short sleeves and a scooped
    neckline. A nile green taffeta
    cummerbund tops the bouffant
    skirt which is detailed with a
    deep hemline. A matching
    bow will hold her Meline face
    veil and she will carry a giant
    pink glamellia bouquet.
    Cousin of the bride, Mrs.
    Robert Dunbar of Lockport;
    and Mrs. James Bassinger of
    North Tonawanda will act as
    bridesmaids with.Marcia Dunbar
    of Lockport, also a cousin
    of the bride, serving as a
    junior bridesmaid. The bridesmaids
    will be attired as the
    matron of honor. The junior
    bridesmaid will don a white
    nylon gown over green taffeta
    with a rounded neckline, green
    cummerbund and a deep hemline.
    She will wear a green
    taffeta headband and carried
    a pink glamellia.
    Attired identically as the
    junior bridesmaid will be the
    flower girl. Miss Denise M.
    Hausman of Gasport, cousin
    of the bride.
    Serving as the groom's best
    man will be Charles Schultz
    of Burt, assisted by ushers,
    Steven Haight of Barker; Jay
    Goodrich of Lyndonville, cousin
    of the groom; and junior
    usher will be Michael J. Barrett
    of Kenmore, cousin of the
    bride.
    Music for the wedding will
    be supplied by Mrs. Robert E.
    Bates of Newfane who will also
    accompany the soloist,
    Frank Dunbar of Gasport.
    and a white carnation corsage.
    The wedding reception will
    follow the ceremony from 8 to
    10 p.m. in the church parlors.
    Centering the bride's table
    will be a four - tiered wedding
    cake topped with a wedding
    beTf and flowers. Further
    decorations will consist of
    a miniature bride and groom
    and the attendants' bouquets.
    For her trip to Canada, the
    bride will wear a green twopiece
    dress with white accessories,
    accented by a pink carnation
    corsage. -
    Out of town guests to attend
    will be from Lyndonville, Barker,
    Gasport, Wilson, Ransomville,
    Canada, Ohio, Michigan,
    Connecticut, Kenmore
    and Buffalo.
    The couple will make their
    fututre home at 6836 Ridge
    Rd., Lockport.
    The bride is a graduate of
    Newfane Central School and
    the Doyle Beauty School of
    Buffalo. The groom attended
    Barker Central School and is
    now stationed in Ft. Hood.
    Texas.

    Vincent Bowes, Lockport, Mrs.
    John (Betty) Platt, Newfane
    Francis Bowes,, Cheektowaga,,
    Donald and Edward Bowes,
    Lockport, Mrs. Donald (Nancy)
    Davis, Newfane, Mrs. Barbara
    Hubbard, Lockport, and the late
    Mrs. Doris Ferris; also sur-
    vived by 21 grandchildren and
    two great - granddaughters;
    brother of Frank Bowes,
    Pueblo, Colo.,, several nieces
    and nephews. Friends may call
    Wednesday and Thursday from
    2-4 and 7-9 at the Gaul
    Funeral Home, Inc., 263 East
    Ave., where the funeral will be
    held Friday at 2 p.m. Interment
    in Wrights Corners Cemetery.

    William J. Bowes, 79 of 143
    Gooding St.,, Lockport died this
    morning at Lockport Memorial
    Hospital after a long illness.
    A Niagara County farmer all
    of his life, he had moved to
    Lockport 10 years ago.
    He was born Mar. 8, 1891 in
    the Town of Yates, the son of
    Dennis and Elizabeth Cooper
    Bowes.
    Survivors include: five sons,
    Leo, Vincent,, Donald and Ed-
    ward,, all of Lockport and
    Francis of Cheektowaga; three
    daughters, Mrs. John (Betty)
    Platt and Mrs.. Donald (Nancy)
    Davis of Newfane and Mrs.
    Barbara Hubbard of Lockport;
    a brother, Frank of Pueblo,
    Colo.; 21 grandchildren; two
    great - granddaughters and
    several nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call from 2 to
    4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow
    and Thursday at the Gaul
    Funeral Home Inc., 186 East
    AVe. where services will be held
    at 2 p.m. Friday.
    The Rev. Herbert L. Stiegner
    will officiate. Burial will be in
    Wrights Corners Cemetery.

    Newfane,, died this morning (Oct.
    2, 1962) at Lockport Memorial
    Hospital following a long illness.
    Mrs. Bowes, born Dec. 21, 1897,
    at Somerset, daughter of Oscar
    and Mary McDonald Harrod had
    lived in Newfane the past three
    years.
    She Is survived by her husband,
    William J.-Bowes; f o ur
    sons, Leo and Edward of Lockport.
    Vincent of Wilson and Francis
    of California; two daughters,
    Mrs. Nancy Davis of Newfane
    and Mrs. Betty Piatt of Arizona;
    three sister, Mrs. Edith Peterson"
    of Gasport, Mrs. Ellen Thompson
    of Oakfield and Mrs. Elizabeth
    Herman of Medina; a brother,
    Kenneth Harrod of Michigan;
    19 grandchildren and one greatgrand
    child.
    Beginning at 3 p.m. Wednesday,
    friends may call at the Kenneth
    H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139
    East Avenue, Newfane, where
    the family will be present from
    2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
    Services will be held at the
    funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m.,
    the Rev. August Kreutz of the
    Immanuel Lutheran Church,
    Ridgewood, officiating.
    Burial will be in Wright's Corners
    Cemetery.
