    Barbara Hubbert Schlemmer of Lockport, wife of the late Max Hubbert entered into rest on Tuesday September 4, 2018 at Niagara Hospice House. She was born in Lockport, NY on November 14, 1942, the daughter of the late William and Maggie Bowes. Barb retired form Harrison Radiator. She loved spending time with her family, going to the casino and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Barb was young at heart, the life of the party and could light up any room. Mother of Jamie (Glenn Goodberry) Hedley, Brenda (Ron) Kruger and the late Jodi. Grandmother of Michelle Teague, Nicole Sherman, Jonathan (Cindie) Sherman, Brandi (Thom) Grabar, Shane (Meagan) Kruger, Stormi (Jordyn) Confer, Ryan (Kaley) Kruger and Hunter Kruger, Kelly and Christopher Sherman. Great Grandmother of Jordan, Riley, Max, Wesley, Sylas, Cameron and Evanleigh. Sister of Sharon Ferris, Gloria (Chuck) Burnette, Larry Ferris and the late Robert Ferris. Sister in law of Joyce (Dave), Sherry, Douglas (Debbie), Darleen and the late Dorothy, Robert, June and Viola. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and a son in law Marty Sherman. Family and friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on FRIDAY from 4-8PM where a funeral service will be held on SATURDAY at 11AM. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094.

    WEARS ORGANDY GOWN
    William Bowes gave his granddaughter
    in marriage She wore
    a ballerina length white organ-'
    dv gown fashioned with a lace'
    bodice. Her fingertip veil was|
    caught to a heart-shaped headpiece
    with seed pearls and she
    carried a bouquet of white carnations
    and pompons
    Matron of honor was Mrs.
    Jeanette Bnggs of Gasport who
    favored a pink organdy gown
    trimmed with lace She carried
    a bouquet of pink carnations and
    white pompons.
    Dawn Hubbert was flowr girl.
    A straw ht complemented her
    pink nylon dress trimmed with
    white lace. She carried a small
    bouquet of pink carnations and
    white pompons.
    David Arlington was best man.
    The grandmother of the bride
    wore a nav blue silk street
    length dress and white carna-
    tion corsage while the bride-
    groom's mother favored an aqua
    street-length dress and a pink
    carnation corsage.
    HOME RECEPTION
    The reception took place at the
    home of the bridegroom's par-
    ents. Centering the table,, covered
    with a yellow cloth, was a three-
    tiered wedding cake topped with
    a miniatue bride and bride-
    groom.
    White accessories and a tan
    polished cotton dress were worn
    by the bride as she left with the
    bridegroom for their honeymoon
    at the Falls. They are living at
    3240 Wilson-Cambria Rd., Wilson.
    Guests attended from Lockport,
    Middleport, Medina and Newfane.
    The bride attended schools in
    Gasport and Lyndonville. The
    bridegroom was graduated from
    Lockport Senior High School. He
    is a member of the National
    Guards, Lockport.

    William J. Bowes, 79 of 143
    Gooding St.,, Lockport died this
    morning at Lockport Memorial
    Hospital after a long illness.
    A Niagara County farmer all
    of his life, he had moved to
    Lockport 10 years ago.
    He was born Mar. 8, 1891 in
    the Town of Yates, the son of
    Dennis and Elizabeth Cooper
    Bowes.
    Survivors include: five sons,
    Leo, Vincent,, Donald and Ed-
    ward,, all of Lockport and
    Francis of Cheektowaga; three
    daughters, Mrs. John (Betty)
    Platt and Mrs.. Donald (Nancy)
    Davis of Newfane and Mrs.
    Barbara Hubbard of Lockport;
    a brother, Frank of Pueblo,
    Colo.; 21 grandchildren; two
    great - granddaughters and
    several nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call from 2 to
    4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow
    and Thursday at the Gaul
    Funeral Home Inc., 186 East
    AVe. where services will be held
    at 2 p.m. Friday.
    The Rev. Herbert L. Stiegner
    will officiate. Burial will be in
    Wrights Corners Cemetery.

    2, 1962) at Lockport Memorial
    Hospital following a long illness.
    Mrs. Bowes, born Dec. 21, 1897,
    at Somerset, daughter of Oscar
    and Mary McDonald Harrod had
    lived in Newfane the past three
    years.
    She Is survived by her husband,
    William J.-Bowes; f o ur
    sons, Leo and Edward of Lockport.
    Vincent of Wilson and Francis
    of California; two daughters,
    Mrs. Nancy Davis of Newfane
    and Mrs. Betty Piatt of Arizona;

    Beginning at 3 p.m. Wednesday,

    H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139
    East Avenue, Newfane, where
    the family will be present from
    2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
    Services will be held at the
    funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m.,
    the Rev. August Kreutz of the
    Immanuel Lutheran Church,
    Ridgewood, officiating.
    Burial will be in Wright's Corners
    Cemetery.
