    A former resident of Lockport,
    Mrs Emma Gilbert, 66, of Vista,
    Calif, died Monday (Jan. 30, 1962)
    at her home after a long illness.
    A native of Lockport, she was
    born July 31, 1895, the daughter
    of Vincent and Ursula Bowler.
    Mrs. Gilbert moved to Vista 18
    years ago. While In Lockport, she
    was employed by the Harrison Radiator
    Division. General Motors
    Corp. for several years.
    Surviving her art three daughters.
    Mrs. Shirley Alstach; Mrs.
    Norma Shaw: Mrs Helen Kraatz;
    • son, Robert Gilbert, all of Vista;
    12 grandchildren; three brothers,
    Kenneth and Vincent, both of
    Lockport; Arthur of Gasport;
    sister, Leona of Buffalo; and several
    nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services and burial will
    be in Vista tomorrow.

    The marriage of Miss Emma Amelia
    Bowler, daughter of Mr- and Mrs.
    Vincent Bowler and Mr Frank C. Mc-
    Clellan of Buffalo took place Saturday
    evening at the home of the bnde, 729
    Old Niagara road, the Rev. .Dr. Jami-
    son of the Second Presbyterian church
    officiating. Promptly at 7 o'clock to
    the strains of the wedding march
    played by Miss" Florence McClellan of
    Buffalo, the wedding party took their'
    places under an arch in the corner of
    the parlor. First came little Ruth
    Emma Rogers, cousin of the bride as
    flower girl, then Miss Leone F Bowler .
    sister of the bride, as ring bearer.
    carrying a large- white lilly from which
    hung the wedding ring. Both were
    dressed in white. Then came the
    bride who wore a gown of white crepe
    meteor trimmed with point lace and a
    veil of tulle with wreath of white
    sweet peas.. Her flowers were white
    roses in a shower bouquet. Miss
    Frances Mohn of Newfane bridesmaid,
    wore a gown of crepe-de-chine with
    arm bouquet of sweet peas. Vincent
    Bowler, brother of the bride acted as
    best man. A reception and supper
    was given after the ceremony, about
    75 guests being present. The bride's
    table with covers for 12. was centered
    with carnations. Roses and carnations
    were also used through the
    rooms, The bride received many
    beautiful gifts of cut glass and silver
    also a purse of gold. Mr. and Mrs.
    MeClellan left for a wedding trip to
    Cleveland and will be at home In
    Buffalo after September 1st. The
    out of town guests were, Mr- and Mrs.
    John McClellan. Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
    McClellan. 'Mr. and Mrs. Hugh
    McClellan. Mr. and 'Mrs. George Mc-
    Clellen, the Misses Florence, Isabel,
    Louise McClellen. Helen' and Clara
    Haegar, Mr. Fred Lens, Mrs. Harry
    Farrager, Mr. Leslie and Miss Dorothy
    Farrager and Wm. Bowler of Buffalo.

    Vincent Bowler died at his home,
    No. 720 Niagara road, Monday afternoon,
    June 13, 1932. He leaves two
    daughters and three sons, Mrs. Morton
    Gilbert, Vincent, Jr., Kenneth
    J., Mrs. Russell Cunningham, Arthur
    D. Bowler, all of this city, also
    four sisters and three brothers, Mrs.
    Edward Weaver, Samuel Bowler,
    Mrs. Frank Lambert, James G. Bowler
    of Lockport, Mrs. William Bennett
    of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs.
    George Robinson of Titusville, Pa.,
    Richard Bowler of Gasport, nine
    grandchildren. Funeral services
    from the home Thursday afternoon,
    June 18th, at 3:30 o'clock. Burial
    in Cold Springs cemetery

    Lockport, May 28 - The funeral of
    Mrs. Ursula Bowler, wife of former Su-
    pervisor Vincent Bower, who died
    Friday at the late residence on Old
    Niagara road, took place this after-
    noon at 2 o'clock with interment in
    Cold Springs cemetery. Besides her
    husband, she leaves two daughters and
    three sons; also her mother, Mrs. Emma
    Batt of Albion, three sisters and three
    brothers.

    Lockpioxt. Feb, 17.-Mrs. Eliza Mapes
    Bowler, who was fatally burned at her
    home in North Transit road yesterday,
    her seventy-sixth birthday, died early
    today at her home. No one was present
    in the kitchen where It is presumed
    het dress caught fire, it is believed
    while seh was taking meat from the
    even or fixing the fire, although her
    sister, Mrs. Mary Smith, who lived with
    her was in another part of the house
    at the time. *
    Mrs. Bowler was first noticed by a
    daughter, Mrs Edward Weaver, who
    lives on the opposite side of the road,
    from her home, who saw, her rolling
    in the snow. She ran to her mother's
    assistance and extinguished flames
    which enveloped her. but not before
    the woman was badly burned in all
    parts of the body. Although partly
    conscious at first. Mrs. Bowler was unable
    to tell how she received her burns,
    owing to her sufferings.
    Deceased was the widow of Vincent
    Bowler and is survived by five sons,
    George, Samuel, Richard and Garfield
    Bowler and Former Supervisor Vincent
    Bowler, all of Lockport; four daughters.
    Mrs. Edward Weaver and Mrs.
    Frank Lambert, this city; Mrs. William
    Bennett, Philadelphia, Pa.; Mrs.
    George Robinson, Titusville, Pa., and.
    one brother, James Mapes of North
    Dakota. Also by two sisters, Delia.
    Mapes of North Dakota and Mrs. Mary
    Smith, this city. The funeral will be
    held tomorrow afternoon from the residence
    of her son, Vincent Bowler, Old
    Niagara road, with Interment at Cold
    Spring cemetery.
