    Roger A. Bowler Sr., 87, passed away on April 7th at the Orchard Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Medina NY. Born September 18, 1936, in Lockport, NY, he was the son of Arthur and Anna Ruth (Beccue) Bowler.

    He is survived by three sons: Roger Bowler Jr. (Belinda) of Ozark MO, Steven Bowler of Lockport and Robin Bowler of Charlotte NC; two sisters: Betsey Pulver (Wayne) of Glendale AZ and Rebecca “Becky” Austin (late Fred) of Gasport; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nephews; and his long-time partner Eleanor Dugan.

    He was predeceased by one daughter, Lorie Bowler, and one son, Daniel E. Bowler; two brothers, David Bowler and Dennis Bowler; two grandaughters: Diana Rose Bowler and Stephanie Marie Bowler; and his step-mother Arlene (Till) Bowler.

    Roger, who attended Lockport and Barker Schools, was an accomplished automotive mechanic. He also worked at Diamond Alkali and Harrison Radiator, where he retired after many years.

    by the bride's attendants formed
    the color scheme for the marriage
    of Miss Carol Ann Koch to Roger
    Allen Bowler, solemnised June 15
    at 2 o'clock in Grace Baptist
    Church, Town of Tonawanda.
    The bride is the daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Koch of
    Hayward, Calif., and the bridegroom
    is the son of Mr. and Mrs
    Arthur Bowler, Ridge Rd., Hart
    land.
    The ceremony was performed
    by the Rev. Arthur Jones before
    an attar decorated with white
    gladioli.
    Given in marriage by ber father,
    the bride wore a ballerina •
    length dress with bodice of Alen
    con type lace and skirt of nylon
    net tiered over satin. Her finger
    tip veil was held by a cap with
    iridescent sequins and seed pearls
    She carried a white orchid oa
    white Bible.
    ATTENDANTS' GOWNS
    The maid of honor, Miss Theresa
    Krupa of Buffalo, wore white
    net over aqua taffeta and carried
    rose - colored sweetheart roses.
    Mr. Gladys Davis and Mrs. Lois
    Schollnick of Rochester, bridesmaids,
    wore pink floral net over
    pink taffeta, and yellow floral net
    over yellow taffeta, respectively.
    Junior bridesmaids. Miss Betsey
    Bowler, sister of the bridegroom,
    aad Miss Bonnie Phillips,
    cousin of the bride, both wore net
    over pale green taffeta. Jennie
    Schollnick, cousin of the bride,
    was flower girl, wearing orchid.
    All wore bead pieces to match
    their gowns and carried contrasting
    flowers.
    Donald Phillips of North Tonawanda
    Was best man and ushers
    re Merle Neithe of Lockport,
    cousin of the bridegroom, and
    Whitney Ward of Hayward, uncle
    of the bride
    Mrs. Whitney Ward, substituting
    for the bride's mother, wore
    white linen and lace with pink accessories.
    The bridegroom's mother
    wore pastel blue cotton trimmed
    with lace. The bride's grandmother,
    Mrs. Willard Phillips, wore navy
    blue and the bridegroom's
    grandmother, Mrs. Marie Beccue,
    dusty rose.
    LUNCHEON RECEPTION
    A luncheon and reception to 100
    guests was held at IOOF Hall,
    North Tonawanda.
    The couple left for a trip to
    Canada, the bride wearing a pastel
    yellow cotton dress trimmed
    with lace and an orchid corsage
    They will make their home on
    Nash Rd., North Tonawanda.
    The bride attended' Lockport
    Senior High School and the bridegroom,
    Barker Central School.
    Pre-nuptial events for the bride
    included showers given by Mrs.
    Ella Ruggles In Rochester, the
    bride's aunts, Mrs. Schollnick In
    Hilton, and Mrs. Davis, la Rochester,
    and a shower given by Betsey
    and Rebecca Bowler and Mrs.
    Merle Niethe.

    The body of Mrs, Ruth Beccue
    Bowler, 32, wife of Arthur D. Bowler.
    211 North Transit Road, was recovered
    from the Barge Canal by
    police at 7:30 this morning, less than
    two hours after witnesses saw her
    plunge from the approach to the
    Exchange Street lift bridge.
    Mr. and Mrs. Leo marcinek, 5 Mill
    St., restaurant operators, and
    Michael Hawley, bridge oprator,
    told police the woman jumped into
    the water at 6:45. Mr. Marcinek
    said he would have gone to her
    rescue but he feared he would be
    struck by an east-bound oil barge
    which was approaching.
    Mr. Hawley told police he saw the

    woman standing by the bridge for
    several minutes and supposed she
    was waiting for a ride to an East
    Lockport plant.
    Patrohnen George Gardner and
    John R. Kenny were the first police
    on the scene. Later Patrolmen Milton
    Nachtrieb and Chester Freeman
    arrived. The police emergency boat
    was used for grappling.
    Dr. Jacob E. Helwig. coroner, North
    Tonawanda, issued a certificate of
    death by suicide. Friends of the
    family said Mrs. Bowler was in ill
    health and had been despondent
    since the recent death of her father.
    Leaves Two Children
    Besides her husband, she leaves
    two small children, David R. and
    Roger A. Beccue; her mother, Mrs.
    Otto Beccue, Lockport; three brothers,
    Karl Beccue, Buffalo; Alien and
    Clay Beccue, Lockport, and one sister,
    Miss Naomi Beccue, Lockport
    Private services will be held Saturday
    at 2 o'clock at the Prudden
    Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St
    Burial will be In Glenwood Cemetery

    Lockport, May 28 - The funeral of
    Mrs. Ursula Bowler, wife of former Su-
    pervisor Vincent Bower, who died
    Friday at the late residence on Old
    Niagara road, took place this after-
    noon at 2 o'clock with interment in
    Cold Springs cemetery. Besides her
    husband, she leaves two daughters and
    three sons; also her mother, Mrs. Emma
    Batt of Albion, three sisters and three
    brothers.

    resident, Mrs. Marie Beccue, 75, of 134 West Ave., who
    died Saturday (Aug. 7, 1965) at Lockport Memorial
    HospHal, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Prudden
    and Kandt Funeral Home.

    Ms. Beccue was born Sept.
    16, 1889, in Buffalo, daughter

    Harris, of Hamburg, 18 grandchildren,

    and nephews.
