LOCKPORT - Richard J. Rodgers, of Lockport, NY, passed away on June 9, 2014, at his home. Richard was born in Batavia, NY on November 2, 1946, a son of the late William E. and Catherine D (Schumacher) Rodgers.
Richard served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was employed as a Welder at Harrison Radiator. He loved racing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Richard was the husband of the late Pamela (Ballard) Rodgers, who passed away on November 28, 2012.
He is survived by one son, John P. (Shelley) Rodgers; a daughter, Angela (Mark) Deney; one brother, William (Nancy) Rodgers; two sisters, Ann Chalmers and Kathy (Bob) Shepard; three grandchildren, Mckenna Rodgers, Richard and Caitlin Deney.
The family will be present on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Matthew Kofahl
officiating. Memorials may be made in his
name to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset
Drive, Lockport, NY 14094. Interment with
military honors at Hillside Cemetery,
Cambria, NY.
