    BUFFALO - Jeanne M. (Bowman) Skrzypek, 79, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on March 12, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Violet (Collier) Bowman. Jeanne worked as a sales associate at Toy's R Us until her retirement. She was considered a care giver by all who knew her because she cared for everyone in her life. One thing she will be remembered for is her Friendship Bread (Cinnamon Bread), that she gave to just about everyone. Jeanne also enjoyed gardening and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

    She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Tom Skrzypek of Niagara Falls, NY; her children, Jeff (Liz) Skrzypek of Canton, MI, Tom Skrzypek II of Niagara Falls, NY, and Kelly (John) Spatorico of North Tonawanda, NY; grandchildren, Casey, Abbey Skrzypek and Griffin, Austin, Paige Spatorico; brothers-in-law, Don (Terry) Skrzypek, Frank (late Ruth) Skrzypek; sisters-in-law, Pat (Bob) Carges and Freda (late Jim) Bowman. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her infant son, Patrick Skrzypek and brother, James Bowman.

    Friends may call on Tuesday, July 29th, from 7-9 PM and Wednesday, July 30th, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319- 24th Street, cor. of Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 31st, with burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, following the service.

    The marriage of Miss Jeanne Marie Bowman, daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Bowman, B St., and Thomas
    Joseph Skrzypek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Skrzypek,
    Rhode Island Ave. was solemnized this morning (Oct. 13,
    1956) at 10 o'clock in St. George's Church. The Rev. Joseph
    Augunus performed the double-ring ceremony.
    " Given in marriage by her
    father, the bride carried a prayer
    book adorned with a white or-
    chid. Her b r i d a l gown was
    French Chantilly lace. fashioned
    with* an illusion neckline of
    net, offset with a mandarin collar.
    A- queen's pointed crown.

    tear drops, held her fingertip
    veil.
    Miss Rose Marie DeMarco.
    maid of honor, was attired in a
    shrimp gown of nylon chiffon
    over taffeta. The Misses Christine
    Boston. Rebecca Stevens,
    and Nannette Tyrrell, bridal at-
    tendants wore similar gowns in
    lavender. romance blue and pink.
    Priscilla Newson was flower girl.
    Francis Skrzypek. brother of
    the bridegroom was best man.
    Ushers were James Bowman,
    brother of the bride, and Donald
    Skrzypek and Robert Skrzypek,
    brothers of the bridegroom.
    Wayne Jaruzawicus, was ring
    bearer.
    A breakfast was served in St.
    G e o r g e s Church Hall, where a
    reception will be held tonight.
    The mother of the bride will
    receive in a blue lace over taffeta
    cocktail dros. while the
    mother of the bridegroom has
    chosen a lavender rose lace over
    taffeta cocktail dress.
    For a honeymoon to New
    York City the bride will wear a
    charcoal gray wool sheath dress.
    The couple will reside a: the
    Navy Base in Patunent River,
    Md.. while the bridegroom concludes,
    his duties in the U. S.
    Navy.

    Funeral services for John E. Bow-,
    man, 74, retired millwright who died
    late Saturday at hisv home, will be
    held at the"Gridley Funeral home at
    2 p. m., Wednesday.
    Mr. Bowman, who lived at 2216
    Twenty-first street, had served with
    the Isco Chemical division, Innis
    Speideo and company, for 24 years.
    He retired four years ago. •
    Memorial services for Mr. Bowman
    will be conducted by the Niagara
    River Lodge 785, F and AM,
    at 8 p. m., tomorrow at the funeral
    home, -
    A native of Fenwick, Ont., Mr.
    Bowman had lived in Niagara Falls
    for the last 55 years. He was a member
    of the Bellevue Lodge 316,100F,.
    the Canadian Order of Odd Fellows
    and the Niagara River lodge.
    Surviving arc his wife, Lily A.;
    four sons, Edgar P., C. Bruce and
    Fred W. Bowman, this city, and
    La Verne A. Bowman, Rahsomville;
    two daughters, Mrs. Charles Hildebrandt,
    this, city, and Mrs. Raymond
    Thiboult, Lewiston; a- brother,
    Charles A. Bowman, Ridgeville, OnL
    He is also survived by 20 grandchildren
    and four grelt-grandchildren.
    The Rev. David H. Weeks will
    officiate at the .services.
    Burial will be in Riverdale cemetery

    Mr. and Mrs. John E. Bowman
    of 2216 Twenty-first street, invited
    their family to be home with them
    for dinner Tuesday evening. Oct.
    7, the occasion being their fortyfifth
    wedding anniversary.
    Two long dining tables were at
    tractively arranged and centered
    with a large cake, nicely decorated
    with a miniature bridal couple on
    top. Pink was the color scheme
    throughout.
    Those present were Mr. and Mrs.
    and family, LaVern Jr, Richard,
    John, Janette, Calvin and Sandia;
    Mr. and Mrs. C. Bruce Bowman
    and ther family. Maxine, Roxanna
    and Charles Bruce; Mr. and Mrs.
    Fred W. Bowman and their family,
    Jean and Jimmie; Mr. and Mrs.
    Charles Hlldebrandt (nee Clara
    Bowman) and Miss Beatrice Bowman,
    at home; Mr. William Fltzgeral,
    of Twenty-first street.
    Sorrow came to the home of their
    eldest son. Mr. Edgar P. Bowman,
    Ontario avenue in the early morning.
    Mrs. Bowman's father, Mr. J.
    Snelllng, suddenly passed away.
    But Mr. Bowman and daughter,
    Miss Eva Bowman, and Mrs. Bowman's
    son and wife. Mr. and Mrs.
    Robert Coats, called for a brief
    period at the dinner hour. Mrs.
    Bowman and little daughters, Lily
    and Beatrice, were not present.
    Mr. and Mrs. Bowman were the
    recipients of many lovely gifts-and
    cards' of congratulations from their
    family and friends, wishing them
    many more happy returns of the
    day
