    NORTH TONAWANDA -
    Norman E. Jagow, age 75, of North Tonawanda, NY, was called peacefully to his heavenly home, surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Niagara Hospice on June 18, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 23, 1938, he was the son of the late Henry and Mathilda (Rubbert) Jagow. Norman was a graduate of Trott Vocational in Niagara Falls and was employed at Bell Aerospace in Wheatfield and later owned and operated the N&J Christmas Tree Farm. He was a longtime member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Wheatfield and a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda. Norman was a lifetime member of Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company and member of the Rotary Club, Lions Club, and Western New York Christmas Tree Assoc. Hobbies and interests included hunting and outdoor activities.
    Predeceased by his wife, Joan (Ferchen) Jagow, he is survived my his former wife, Constance Jagow; five children, Doris (Scott) Leaderstorf of North Tonawanda, Janice (Donald) Piatkowski of Harrington, DE, Edward (Tina) Jagow of North Tonawanda; two step-sons, David and Mark Ferchen; five grandchildren, Travis and Russell Leaderstorf, Samantha, Katherine and Jay Piatkowski; two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Charolette Teel; a brother, Leonard Jagow of Florida; a sister, Helen Jagow of Niagara Falls; and several nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by a step-daughter, Marcia Ferchen; and two brothers, Delbert and Donald Jagow.
    Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME (731-3234), 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Sunday from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Karl Koch on Monday at 10:30 AM in St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Falls Blvd. and Ward Road in Wheatfield. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Ev. Lutheran Church.

    BERGHOLTZ — Holy Ghost Lutheran Church was the setting for the wedding Saturday (Nov. 12, 1960) of Miss Constance • Elaine Nelson and Norman Edward Jagow. Rev. Robert Jaeger officiated at the nuptials, before an altar flanked with yellow, bronze and white mums and pompon chrysanthemums. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nelson, Nash Road, North Tonawanda, and the bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Mathilda Jagow, Cavuga Drive, Niagara Falls.
    A GOWN OF white satin and Chantilly lace was worn by the bride. It was designed with a tulle overskirt embellished with appliques of lace.
    MISS LINDA THORMAN was maid of honor, attired in a gown of red lace. A white hat held her matching veil, and she carried a colonial bouquet of white sweetheart roses, red carnations and white pompon chrysanthemums. The bridesmaids were the bridegroom's sister, Miss Helen Jagow, and .the bride's sister, Miss Janet Nelson. They were attired similarly in gowns of emerald green; Each carried a colonial bouquet of yellow sweetheart roses, white carnations and yellow pompon chrysanthemums. Donald Jagow was his brother's best man, and guests were ushered to their seats by the bride's brothers, Grant and Melvin Nelson.
    A RECEPTION was held at the Adams Fire Hall in Town of Wheatfield. The newlyweds left for a wedding trip to Washington, D.C. They will make their home in Cayuga Drive, Niagara Falls, after Nov. 18.

    Henry Jagow Drops Dead While Inspecting Farm
    Henry Jagow, 55, dropped dead while making an inspection of his extensive farm on the Jagow road, Town of Wheatfield yesterday afternoon. Coroner H. C. Lapp of
    North Tonawanda investigated and gave the cause of death as heart disease. Jagow, a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, was accompanied by his nephew, Theodore Stoelting, residing on a neighboring farm, and had walked some distance when he complained of illness. He was about to sit down when he collapsed and died.

    WHEATFIELD - Mathilda Melvinie Ella Jagow (Rubbert), age 93, of Wheatfield, was called to her heavenly home on December 1, 2010 at her residence, with her loving family at her side and under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY on August 24, 1917 to the late Edward and Helena (Roggow) Rubbert. A devoted lifelong member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where she was active with the Ladies Aid, the Quilters and was employed as the custodian for the church and school for many years. She was also a member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens and enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, gardening and baking.

    She was predeceased by her husband, Henry E. Jagow on March 19, 1946. They were united in marriage January 24, 1934; and a son, Delbert Jagow.

    Survivors include four children, Leonard Jagow of Villages, FL, Donald Jagow of Niagara Falls, Norman Jagow of Machias, NY, and Helen Jagow of Niagara Falls; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

    Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Philip N. Sallach on Saturday at 11:00 AM in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner Luther Street and Niagara Road. Interment in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church.
