    Notes:

    Thomas Boyd, IV, age 55, of Lewiston, NY, passed from this life into the loving embrace of his Lord on Monday, June 29, 2015, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born on December 22, 1959 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Thomas Boyd, III of Lewiston, NY and the late Ilene (Aikins) Boyd.

    Thomas was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. Having attended local schools and graduating from Niagara Falls High School, he served in the United States Army, stationed with U.S. forces in Europe, from 1979 until his honorable discharge in 1983. For almost 30 years, Thomas was employed by the Western Region of Off Track Betting (OTB). He was a member of Forestview Church of God and the American Legion LaSalle Post #1142. Thomas loved his dog, Snowflake and was an avid sports fan.

    Thomas is now reunited with his mother, Ilene and his brothers, Glen, Jeffrey and Steven, who predeceased him. He is survived by his father, Thomas Boyd, III; nephew, Jeffrey; niece, Sara and several aunts, uncles and cousins. An outgoing and generous individual, Thomas will be sadly missed by his many friends and co-workers.

    Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-6 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007) where a funeral service will be held on Friday, July 3rd at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Ronald Maines, of Forestview Church of God, officiating.     Ave., where he resided.
    He r e t i r e d from the
    Shredded Wheat Co. in 1950
    after working there about
    25 years. Mr. Boyd was born
    in Stevenson, Scotland, and
    had lived in Niagara Falls
    50 years. He was a communicant
    of the Pierce Avenue
    Presbyterian Church.
    Survivors include his wife,
    Matilda; a son, Thomas Boyd
    Jr., this city; three grandchildren
    and five g r e a t'
    grandchildren.
    Funeral-services will be
    held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at
    the Otto Redanz Funeral

    a private nursing home in
    Buffalo after a year's illness.
    She was born in Belfast
    Ireland, Feb. 20, 1890, the
    daughter of James and Mary
    Landcroft Hughey. She came
    to Niagara Falls in 1919. Her
    husband, Thomas Boyd, died
    in 1964.
    Mrs.. Boyd is survived by a
    son, Thomas Boyd Jr.; a
    brother, Robert Hughey, both
    of Niagara Falls, three grand-
    children and five great-grand-
    children.

    Niagara Ave., died unexpectedly
    at home Monday
    (Sept. 27, 1971).
    Born in Lansing, Mich., he
    had lived in Niagara Falls for
    60 years. He was employed at
    Hooker Chemical Corp., as a
    shift foreman in the caustic
    soda division for 35 years,
    retiring in 1960.
    He was a member of the 25-
    Year Club, and the company's
    Foreman Association.
    Survivors include his widow,
    Margaret Hayes; three sons,
    William (Bud), Charles, and
    Norton J. Hayes, all of this
    city; three daughters, Mrs.
    Thomas (Wilma) Boyd, and
    Miss Vera Jane Hayes, both of
    this city, and Mrs. Jennie
    Waldman of Culver City,
    Calif.; a brother, John Norton
    Hayes of this city; a sister,
    Mrs. William (Vera) Erhenborfer
    of Cleveland, Tenn., and
    14 grandchildren and 13 great-,
    grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held
    at the Otto Redanz Funeral
    .Home at 8:45 a.m. Friday and
    at 9:15 a.m. at Sacret Heart
    Church. Burial will be in Gate
    of Heaven Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the
    funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m.
    and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and
    Thursday.
