    Annette Diana (Bozek) Laszewski ''Tonia'', 85, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Schoellkopf Health Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 13, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Matthew J. and Sophie (Walasek) Bozek Sr.


    She was predeceased by her husband Marion Mathew Laszewski, who passed away in 1982. They were married on October 25, 1958. Annette attended Holy Trinity Parochial School and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1955. She received a Business diploma from Cheryl Fell School of Business.


    She was formerly employed at Dupont, Bell Aerospace Textron and retired in 2011 from Rivershore Inc., after 19 years of service as the Agency Secretary.


    Annette enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family. She also looked forward to the yearly vacations to Las Vegas with her family. She loved to dance and was an avid Ballroom dancer.


    She is survived by her daughters, Diana (Anthony) Borowicz of Grand Island, NY, and Cynthia "Cindy" (Mike) Elvers of Pittsford, NY; loving grandson, Kevin Borowicz of Orlando, FL; brother, Matthew (late-Megan) Bozek Jr.; nieces & nephews, Darcy (late David) Williams, Darilyn Scheuing, Derek (Ana)Nizialek, Caitlin Bozek and Jack Laszewski; great nieces & nephews, great-great niece, great-great nephew, many cousins and grand dog, Liddy.


    Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy (Don) Nizialek; sister in-law, Megan Bozek, In-laws, Roman (Antonina)Laszewski and brother in-law, Edmund (Alice)Laszewski.


    Friends may call Wednesday, November 29th from 4-8 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, Niagara Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 30th at Divine Mercy Parish, 2437 Niagara Street, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. Burial following in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.

    Pearl trimmed alencon lace
    appliques adorned the s q u a re
    neckline of the bride's gown.
    Trapeze panels at the back, extended
    from the fitted bodice to
    a chapel-length train. A pillbox
    of seed pearls beaded into a
    flower design held her doobk
    tiered veil of illusion. She carried
    a spray of white roses cen-
    tered with a white orchid.

    MISS DOROTHY BOZEK was
    maid of honer. She chose turquoise
    blue nylon chiffon gown
    fashioned with a shirred fitted
    bodice and" taffeta cummerbund.
    Matching taffeta trapeze panel!
    accented the back and continued
    to the floor. Her fly-away
    veil was caught to a velvet headpiece
    of pearls entwined into a
    crown. Her b o u q u e t was a
    spray of light pink carnations.
    Attired in gowns of Vassar
    rose, styled similarly to the honor
    attendant's, were the bridesmaids.

    A very delightful "hardtime" shower
    was -given Monday evening by Lenore
    Barrs in honor of Sophie Walasek,
    whose marriage to Matthew Bojak will
    take place Sept. 5.
    During the evening the guests came
    attired in old clothes, with their gifts
    wrapped to suit the occasion. Games
    were played and a lunch was served,
    the table being centered with a
    three-tier cake decorated in pink and
    white, with a miniature bride and
    groom in the center.
    The bride-elect received many use-
    ful gifts.
