    Catherine J. Schumacher (nee Gordon), age 65, of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal rest August 22, 2014, while under the care of Niagara Hospice, following a long illness.

    Mrs. Schumacher was born January 28, 1949 in North Tonawanda, daughter of the late Casey and Margaret Gordon.

    Catherine was best known as a loving, kind, generous person with a big heart. She was a member of Camp Good Days and the Studebaker Club. Catherine loved working outside, tending to her garden and also loved garage sales.

    She was predeceased by her parents, the late Casey and Margaret Gordon and her son, the late Timothy Schumacher, who passed away in 1990.

    Beloved wife of 44 years to Thomas H. Schumacher; devoted mother of Thomas Jr., Terry (Christina) Schumacher and the late Timothy Schumacher; loving grandmother of Cyliegh and McKaley; also survived by Sally and Pete and Jack and Vicki; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the WATTENGEL Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., N. Tonawanda, where services will be held Tuesday at 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice (niagarahospice.org) or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (mmrf.org).

    SCHUMACHER - Henry W. Schumacher, 77, of 522 Willow Ave., North Tonawanda, died Saturday (July 1, 1961) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, a member of St. Matthew Lutheran. Church and was formerly a guard at The Wurlitzer Co. He was the husband of the late Ida Dumke Schumacher, who died in 1959. Survivors include six sons, Arnold of Rochester, Lester, Howard, Henry, Edward and Glenwood, all of North Tonawanda; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Louise) Lewis of Lockport and Mrs. Robert (Leona) Schroeder of North Tonawanda; one brother, Albert; two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Martin and Mrs. John Popilea, all of North Tonawanda, 29 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive. Friends may call at Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted there Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. A. W. Moldenhauer will officiate. Burial in White Chapel Memorial Park.

    North Tonawanda - Ida S. Schumacher, 70, of 522 Willow Ave. North Tonawanda, died Thursday (June 25, 1959) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born in Buffalo she had lived in North Tonawanda for 36 years. She is survived by her husband, Henry W. Sr. six sons, Arnold of Rochester; Lester, Howard, Henry, Edward and Glenwood of North Tonawanda; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Lewis, Lockport and Mrs. Robert Schroeder of North Tonawanda; two brothers, Ernest and Albert Dumke of the Tonawandas, four sisters, Mrs. Albert Schultz of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Florence Knorr of Philadelphia, Mrs. Frank Perkins of Cattaraugus and Mrs. Roy Barrick of Blackwell, Okla.; 20 grandchildren and none great-grandchildren.
