LOCKPORT — After a long, courageous battle with Huntington's Disease, Mildred J. Brass, age 66, of Lewiston, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport.
Milly was born June 27, 1947 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Mahlon and the late Madeline (Showden) Stahlman. She graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School in 1965 and worked at various businesses, including the New York Telephone Company, Frontier Lanes, The Barton House and Advanced Environmental Services, where she was office manager. She was very proud to have their home designated a Lewiston Historic Preservation Commission Landmark in 1994.
Milly was an active member of the Lewiston Garden Club and Immaculate Conception RC Church in Ransomville for many years. She had been very active in Lew-Port School activities, Music Boosters, and the PDI Program, as well as volunteering with the Niagara Pioneer Soccer League. She was also the adoring grandmother of the late Emily, as well as Kevin, Kristopher, Eric, Shae, Sam, Annie, Andrew and Stuart. She was the caring sister of Mahlon Paul (Marie) Stahlman of Rochester, NY and the late Barbara (Paul) Gosney. Milly was loved by countless nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
