Elmer G. Schultz, age 90, surrounded by family went to be with the Lord. Beloved son of the late Fred and Lottie Schultz. Beloved husband to the late Emily Ann Schultz. Cherished father of Donna (Dennis) Besco, Judith Schultz, Nina (Patrick) Smith. Grandfather to Jennifer Branch, Jason Besco, Colleen (Jon) Betrus, and Justin Smith. Great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren. Brother of the late Edna Goodnick, LeVern Schultz and Alfred Schultz. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Elmer lived in Middleport area all of his life, he married Emily Ann on October 31, 1947. Elmer served our country in WWII. He worked for 35 years at Harrison's Radiator. Elmer loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed his vast collection of toy tractors. He sold wheel horse tractors in Middleport.  A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Royalton Mount Ridge Cemetery, in Gasport, NY, friends invited. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 or Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 133 Telegraph Rd., Middleport, NY 14105.

Emily Ann Schultz of Middleport passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Medina, NY. Mrs. Schultz was born in the Town of Royalton on August 9, 1925, daughter of the late John and Esther (Kraatz) Schilling and she has lived in the Middleport area all of her life. She and her husband, Elmer G. Schultz, were married on October 31, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Medina. She was a cafeteria worker employed by Royalton-Hartland Central School. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where she made all the banners for the church and she volunteered at the Medina Hospital office for 14 years. Mrs. Schultz enjoyed her family and she also enjoyed making patchwork quilts. She is survived by her husband, Elmer G. Schultz; three daughters, Donna (Dennis) Besco of Gasport, Judith Schultz of Barker and Nina (Patrick) Smith of Naples, NY; four grandchildren, Jennifer Branch and Jason Besco, both of Gasport, Colleen (Jon) Betrus of Naples, NY and Justin Smith of Luxembourg. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service to be held Monday, at 11:00 AM at Royalton Mt. Ridge Cemetery with Vicar Richard Wolf officiating. Memorials to Holy Cross Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the Schultz family. Arrangements by the Bates, Wallace &Heath Funeral Home, Middleport, NY.

MIDDLEPORT — John F.Schilling, 71, of 4556 Freeman Road , died unexpectedly Monday evening in Medina Memorial Hospital soon after being admitted following an apparent heart attack at his home.He was born Nov. 3, 1900 in the Town of, Hartland, a son of William and Anna (Smith)Schilling, and had been a farmer in this area all his life.He was a member of St.Peter's Lutheran Church of Medina , Middleport Senior Citizen s and Wolcottsville Golden Agers.Surviving are his widow, the former Emily Kraatz; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Emily)Schultz and a brother, George Schilling, all of Middleport; also three grandchildren and two great - grandchildren.Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow at Wallace and Heath Funeral Home Inc., Middleport, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday.The Rev. Ronald Haefer will officiate. Burial will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery.Memorials to the Memorial Fund of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Medina, would be appreciated by the family.
