Cynthia N. Hermanson, 60, of Portsmouth, OH, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023. She was born on December 5, 1962 to Charles W. and Deborah E. A. (Nicolls) Hermanson (both deceased). She was also predeceased by brothers Charles W. (Patricia) Hermanson, Jr., James P. (Patricia) Hermanson and nephew Gary Smith, Jr. She is survived by brothers Donald L. (Diana) Hermanson and Richard W. N. Hermanson, sisters Suzanne N. Vullo, Catherine N. (Gary, deceased) Smith, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends, including dear friend Crystal Bickford.
A native of Sanborn, NY, Cynthia was a Senior Instructor in the English and Humanities Department of Shawnee State University, Portsmouth, Ohio, since 2011.
Cynthia was an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church and other organizations in Portsmouth. She sang in the All Saints Choir, in Shawnee State's and community choirs.
She will be buried in the Mount View Cemetery, in Pekin, NY.

Deborah E.A. Hermanson, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014, in the Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Niagara Falls, NY. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 1, 1931, a daughter of the late Jasper and Gladys (Wilson) Nicolls.

Mrs. Hermanson moved to Amherst, NY and graduated from Amherst Central High School. She had studied at the Albright Knox School at Buffalo State. Mrs. Hermanson displayed her art at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, the Keenan Center and Allentown Art Festival. She was a member of the Niagara Frontier Arts Council and Sanborn United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hermanson was the wife of the late Charles W. Hermanson, who died in August of 1999. She is survived by her son, Richard W.N. Hermanson; three daughters, Suzanne N.H. Vullo, Catherine N.H. (Gary) Smith, Cynthia N. Hermanson; stepsons, Charles W. (Patricia) Hermanson, Jr., Donald L. (Diane) Hermanson; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Dean (Susan) Sanborn, Kathryn (Daniel) Dusher and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her stepson, James P. Hermanson; sister, Mary Marechek and grandson, Gary L. Smith, Jr.

The family will be present on Friday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM, with the Rev. Carolyn A. Peeler officiating. Interment in Mount View Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY. Memorial tributes may be made to Niagara Hospice.

SANBORN FUNERAL SUNDAY
Highly Respected Sanborn Resident to Be Buried in Pekin.
SANBORN, March 5.—The funeral of Clinton F . Sanborn, 63 years old, who died Thursday at the family home here, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock from the local M. E. church. Private services will be held at the residence and interment will be in Mount View ceme-tery, Pekin. Mr. Sanborn is survived by his wife Clara E.. three daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Franks. Mrs. Helen Hermanson, Mrs. Viola Read, all of Sanborn, two sons. Dean S., of Sanborn, and Dr. Lee R.. of Angola. Also ten grandchildren and one brother James L. of Ossinike, Mich. H e was a member of Forest Lodge No. 202, I. O. O. F . , of Sanborn, of Niagara Lodge N o . 375. F. & A. M, of Lockport. He was born at Sanborn on May 8. 1864. in the same house in which he passed away. He was engaged in various business enterprises and also bought and shipped hay , fruit and vegetables. He had resided in Sanborn all his life. Was a member of the Republican County Committee and a Justico ot the Peace, which office he held for 12 years. He was a well known and highly respected citizen. A member of The First M. E . Church and always actively interested in all community affairs. He will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends and neighbors.
