    the Medina Memorial Hospital.
    She is survived by her husband,
    William F. Wirth; one son,
    Dwight B. Wirth, Gasport,
    N.Y-: one daughter, Mrs. Carl
    (Grace) Seib, Lockport; four
    grandchildren; seven great
    grandchildren; several nieces
    and nephews. Friends may call
    at the Bream Funeral Home,
    Main St., Gasport, N.Y.
    Wednesday, 7-9 p.m. and
    Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.,
    where funeral services will be
    held on Friday, March 17, at
    11 a.m. Flowers gratefully
    declined. Memorials may be
    made to National Multiple
    Sclerosis Society of Western
    New York Chapter, c-o Statler
    Hilton, suite 261, Buffalo, N.Y,
    14202. Interment in Wrights
    Corners Cemetery.

    Funeral services were held yes-
    terday afternoon for William E
    Branch, commission merchant and
    produce dealer, at his home on the
    Hess road, town of Newfane, and
    burial was in Wright's Corners
    cometTV. The death of Mr. Branch
    last Thursday removed one of the
    best known and most prominent
    fruit dealers of the Niagara fruit
    belt of a few years aeo.
    Mr. Branch had been engaged in
    the commission business for the past
    forty years, and during that time
    was one of the biggest operators in
    this part of the country, the fruit
    bearing his labels going to practically
    every part of the United States
    and Canada and foreign countries.
    He retired from active business
    about a year ago and had been in
    failing health for several months.
    He was born on the Hess road, on
    a farm about a mile from the home
    where he passed away Thursday.
    His parents were pioneer residents
    of the town of Newfane. When he
    was two years old, they removed to
    Michigan, but returned to Niagara
    county when Mr. Branch was fifteen
    He engaged In farming for a short
    time and then entered the commission
    business.
    Operated in Lockport.
    At various times he maintained
    offices in Lockport, Newfane and
    Gasport, and at one time was in
    business with a son. In the ownership
    and operation of a cold storage
    plant at the latter place. He
    deail chiefly in apples, shipping
    many thousands of barrels from this
    counts-, but in the Sprina and early
    summer mon'hs he made annual
    trips through the south as the representative
    of the C. C. Taft company
    of Des Moines, Iowa, buying
    strawberries, tomatoes and other
    fruit and produce. He was weD
    known from Virginia to Texas.
    He was a member of the Tuscarora
    Club of this city, the Macabeee
    and a former member of Lock-
    I port Lodge. B. P. O Elks. Funeral
    services were conducted by Rev.
    Charles B. Bates, pastor of the Free
    Methodist church of this city, where
    Mr Branch was an attendant.
    The bearers were. Dennis W. Daly,
    John F. LeVan and Tomothy J.
    OShaughnessy of this city and Benjamin
    Richards. William Shaw and
    William Cole of Newfane.
    He leaves his widow, Martha L.
    Branch, two sons. Ohm W, and
    Charles W. Branch, and four daughters.
    Mae and Ora L. all of Newfane.
    Mrs. William Wuth and Mrs.
    Paul Sutton of this city. and three
    sisters Mrs Wesley Church Miami.
    Fla, Mrs Burt Demerest Lockport
    and Mrs Fred Brauer, Buffalo and
    nine grandchildren.

    Martha L. Branch passed away at
    her home, Newfane, N. Y, January
    7, 1934. She leaves two sons and
    four daughters, Glen W, Charles W.,
    Mae and Ora L„ all of Newfane,
    Mrs. William Wirth and Mrs. Paul
    Sutton of Lockport, one brother,
    Charles Bowman of Hartland, nine
    grandchildren. Funeral services will
    be held from the home, Wednesday,
    January 10th at 2:30 p.m. Burial
    Wright's Corners cemetery.
