Stanley Burton Rickard died at the
home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Rickard. No, 160 Erie street,
Wednesday morning, July 28, 1920.
He is survived by his parents and
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Burton
Demorest. ,
Funeral services will be held from
the home, Thursday afternoon, July
29th, at 2:30 new time. Interment In
Wright's Corners Cemetery.

Robert Rickard died at his home,
37 Millar Place, Tuesday morning,
September 11, 1934. He is survived
by his wife, Florence (nee Demorest)
one son, Robert, Jr., his mother,
Mrs. Charles Steiner of Lockport,
two sisters, Mrs. Edison Payne of
Gasport, Mrs. Robert Zimmerman of
Erie, Pa. Funeral services will be
held from his late home on Thursday
afternoon, September 13, at 2:30
o'clock. Burial In Wright's Corners
cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.

Burton C. Demorest. 85. of Newfane,
died early this morning in
Lockport City Hospital after an
illness of several weeks. He was
born in Newfane. son of Harding
and Julia Steele Demorest and had
lived in Niagara County all his
life. Surviving are a daughter.
'Mrs. Florence A. Ricfcard and a
grandson. Robert Rickard, Lockport;
two sisters. Mrs. Jennie ,
Hanford. Town of Newfane, and
Mrs, Jessie Cunningham. Lockport,
and a brother, Elmer Demorest,
Lockport.
The funeral will be held Saturday
afternoon at 2 o'clock at the
Prudden Funeral Home, 343 Genesee
St. Burial will be in Wright's
Corners Cemetery.

Burton married BRANCH, Viola Clementine about Apr 1887. Viola (daughter of BRANCH, Harding and Eliza) was born about 1867 in Ionia, Ionia County, MI; died on 27 Jan 1935 in Lockport, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Mrs. Viola Clementine Demorest,
67, wife of Burton C. Demorest,
died at 2:30 o'clock yesterday morning
at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Florence Rickard, 33 Millar
place, after a brief illness with
heart disease. The funeral will be
held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon
in the home and at 3 o'clock
in Plymouth Congregational church.
Burial will be in Wright's Corners
cemetery.
Born in Ionia. Mich., on April 6,
1867, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Hardin Branch, Mrs. Demorest
came to Niagara county with her
parents in her youth. She had lived
in Lockport nineteen years ago. She
would have been married 48 years
on April 6.
Besides her husband and daughter
she leaves a grandson, Robert
Rickard of Lockport and two sisters,
Mrs. Wesley Church of Miami, Fla.,
and Mrs. Fred Brauer of Buffalo.

Mr and Mrs. Burton Demorest
celebrated the 40th anniversary of
their marriage last evening at the
home of their daughter, Mrs. Robert
Rickard of Millar Place.
The rooms were decorated for the
occasion in colors of pink and white,
and a dinner was served to yie fifty
eight r e l a t i v e s and friends, the table
being centered with a handsome
wedding cake topped by a miniature
bride and groom, and baskets of pink
and white nwaet peas were at either
end.
Following the dinner the evening
was spen with cards and dancing
with an enjoyable piano number by
Violet Demorest. Many handsome
g i f t s were presented to Mr. and Mrs.
Demorest and the guests Included
friends from East Aurora, Springbrook,
Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Olcott
and Newfane.
