A lovely wedding was solemnized at
St. Mary of the Cataract church by
Father Killeen on Sept 25 at 9 o'clock.
Miss Elizabeth Bragg, daughter of
Mrs. James Bragg Smythe, and Fred-
erick Roth, son of Mary Roth Ezard,
were united in marriage. The bride
was given in marriage by James
Smythe. She wore a pink satin gre-
cian style gown a pink net hat and
accessories and a bridal corsage. Mrs.
Thomas Gartland, the matron of hon-
or, completed the grecian effect in a
gown of bab blue crepe and turban
and a corsage of pink roses.. Helen
Gartland was the flower girl, in a
dress of yellow taffeta. She carried a
colonal bouquet. The groom was at-
tended by Thomas Gartland.
Breakfast was served at Hannel's
for the wedding party.
A variety shower was given the
bride by Mrs. Ezard and Mrs. Gart-
land on Sept. 22.
The couple will reside at 520 Sixth
street.

Born in Buffalo, Mr- Brandel
moved to Niagara Falls in
1923. He was employed by the
Charles Kuhns and the William
Young trucking firms
and the Hooker Chemical
Corp. He retired from Hooker
in 1947.

I Catherine Mullen Brandel, he
is survived by two daughters,
Mrs. Mary Adelaide Roth, this
city, and Mrs. Joseph B. (Cecelia)
Ward, Buffalo; two
brothers, Louis Joseph Brandel,
Buffalo, and Aloysius
Brandel, Town of Niagara, and
two sisters, Mrs. Louise Strohmeier
and Mrs. Kathryn Riddle.
Also surviving are 12
grandchildren, 10 great-grand-
children,, and 3 great-great-
grandchildren.

Louis married MUELLER, Catherine about 1897. Catherine was born in Aug 1875 in New York; died on 1 May 1931 in Buffalo, Erie County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Mrs. Catherine Mary Brandel, wife
of Louis M. Brandel, 944 Depot
avenue,
died yesterday in a .Buffalo
hospital after a short Illness. Mrs.
Brandel had resided In this city for
t h e past 11 years, coming here with
her family from Buffalo. During her
residence here she made many friends
and announccmi.it of her death today
received with deep regret.
Besides her husband Mrs. Brandel
is survived by two daughters, Mrs.
Mary Ezard and Mrs. Cecelia Ward,
and two sons. Louis J. Brandel and
Aloysius Brandel, all of this city; a
sister. Miss Jane. Mullen, Syracuse.
and a brother. John Mullen. Roches-
ter. The funeral will be held at 8:30
a.m.. Tuesday from the family home
and at 9 a.m. from the Church of
the Sacred Heart. South avenue and
Eleventh street. Burial will be In
Pine Hill cemetery. Buffalo.
