    was the scene of a beautiful early
    fall wedding Saturday morning
    Sept. 9. at 10:30 o'clock, when
    Miss Doris Arlene Brandt, daughter
    of Mrs. Louis Brandt and the
    late Mr. Brandt of Lyons, R.D. 3,
    was united in marriage with
    Joseph L. Greco, son of Mr. and
    Mrs. Ruffalo Greco of 18 Montezuma
    St. The Rev. John F. Neary,
    pastor of the church, received the
    vow before an altar adorned with
    white gladioli and ferns and baskets
    of white gladioli decorated
    the chancel of the church.
    The bride, escorted by her
    brother. Louis \V. Brandt, wore a
    wedding gown of white Skinners
    satin en train, fashioned with tight
    bodice and full skirt. Her fingertip
    veil of French illusion fell
    from a crown of seed pearls, and
    she carried a Colonial bouquet of
    white roses and Rubrum lilies.
    Mrs. Louis \V. Brandt, sister-in-
    law of the bride, was her maid of
    honor and wore a gown of pale
    blue marquisette over taffeta
    with matching headpiece and car-
    ried a Colonial bouquet of pink
    rosebuds.
    The bridesmaids, the Misses
    Rose Alvaro and Angeline Catholdi,
    were gowned alike in yellow
    marquisette, with matching
    headpieces, and carried Colonial
    bouquets of Talisman" rosebuds.
    A wedding breakfast was served
    following the ceremony at the
    home of the groom's parents, for
    the immediate families and a few close
    friends, and a reception for
    several hundred guests was held
    from 5 to 9 o'clock in Caroukas
    Hall, when out-of-town guests
    were present from New York City,
    Brooklyn, Buffalo. Syracuse, Rochester.
    Seneca Falls, Geneva, Clyde
    and Newark.
    The bride is a graduate of Lyons
    Central School and is employed in
    the Commercial Building. Newark.
    Mr. Greco is the proprietor of
    Greco's Jewelry Store in Canal
    St.. Lyons. After a wedding trip
    to points in Canada and the New
    England States. Mr. and Mrs.
    Greco are at home in an apartment
    in the rear of their jewelry
    store.
    Prenuptial functions given in
    honor of the bride include showers
    given by Mrs. Robert Conrad.
    Mrs. Louis W. Brandt. Miss Mary
    Greco and the Misses Catholdi and
    Alvaro at 35 Shuler St. on Aug.
    23, and a shower by Mrs. Phyllis
    Whiley of Water St.

    William T. Brandt, 85 years old.
    of 144 Canal Street, died Tuesday
    in the Lyons Hospital. He was
    born in Germany April 2, 1869 and
    came to this country when he was
    four years old. He spent his life
    farming and lived for 56 years on
    one of the VanWickle farms.
    Mr. Brandt \vas an honorary'
    member of Eureka Grange and an
    active member of St. John's Lutheran
    Church. Ten years ago the
    Brandts moved to the village. Last
    Feb. 22, Mr. and Mrs. Brandt celebrated
    their 61st^wedding anniversary'-
    Mrs.'Brandt formerly was
    Augusta Bramer. The Brandts had
    four children: Louis.'who died after
    World War i ; Anna Metz, who
    died January, 1953, Mrs. George
    Eckert, who lives in Maple Street
    and Mrs. Carl Schindler of RD 3,
    Lyons.
    Survivors" besides the widow and
    two children are a sister, Martha
    Creager of Newark; 13 grandchildren
    and 21 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at
    2:30 p.m. Friday at St. John's
    Church, with the Rev. George
    Whitlock. pastor, officiating. The
    body will rest until then at the
    Weeks Funeral Home. Burial will
    be in the family plot in South
    Cemetery.

    Brandt, widow of William
    Brandt died yesterday at the
    Cherry Hill Nursing Home. She
    was 93.
    Mrs. Brandt was born in Orchard
    Park, Feb. 18, 1873, a
    daughter of Ernest and Louise
    Bramer, and for the past 70
    years had resided at 144 Canal
    St.
    She is survived by two daughters,
    Mrs. George Eckert, and
    Mrs. Carl Schindler, both of
    Lyons; 13 grandchildren; 36
    great-grandchildren; four greatgreat-
    grandchildren; and several
    nieces and nephews.
    A prayer service will be Monday
    at 11 a.m. in the Weeks
    Funeral Home, with a service
    at 2 p.m. in St. John's Lutheran
    Church. Rev. Robert Kroth
    will officiate, with burial in toe
    South Lyons Cemetery at the
    convenience of the family.
    Friends may call at the funeral
    home from 2-5 and 7-9
    p.m.
    Contributions may be made to
    the St John's Memorial Fund.

    Mr. and Mrs. William Brandt of
    144 Canal street, celebrated their
    54th wedding anniversary, Saturday,
    Feb- 22.
    Mr. Brandt who will be 78 years
    old April 2 was born in Germany
    and came to this country with his
    parents at the age of four. Mrs.
    Brandt who is 74 years old, was
    born in Buffalo. They were married
    in St. John's Lutheran
    Church.
    Mr. and Mrs- Brandt had four
    children: Louis, who died thirteen
    years ago; Mrs. Fred Metz, Mrs.
    George Eckert and ,Mrs. Carl
    Schindler, all of Lyons. They have
    thirteen grandchildren and six
    great-grandchildren.
    Mr- and Mrs. William Brandt
    lived for fifty years on their farm
    three miles north-west of Lyons,
    on the Brandt-VanWickle road.
    This was the birthplace of their
    children and their daughter Clara,
    Mrs. Carl Schindler, lives on the
    same farm now. This farm today
    is one of the most prosperous fruit
    farms in this section.
    Mr. and Mrs. Brandt moved to
    the village three years ago and
    are enjoying good health. They
    are active members of St. John's
    Lutheran Church. Their greatest
    pleasure is entertaining company'
    and visiting their homestead where
    they spent so many years.
    Many friends and relatives
    visited Mr. and Mrs. Brandt to
    wish them more years of wedded
    happiness and good health.
