    WOLCOTTSVILLE -  Marian A. Brauen, formerly of Wolcottsville, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012 in Midland, TX. Mrs. Brauen was born in the Town of Royalton on February 5, 1923 daughter of the late Elmer and Rose (Koepsel) Weber. She had lived in Wolcottsville most of her life, moving to Texas in July of 2011. She was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville and its Altar Guild and she was also a member of the Wolcottsville Fire Company Auxiliary. She enjoyed her family and also she enjoyed making silk flowers. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard A. Brauen in 1997; and by her siblings Helen Hoste, LaVerne "Shorty" Webber and Elton "Buddy" Weber. She is survived by two daughters, Marsha L. Brauen of North Potomac, MD and Karen (Richard) Shephard of Midland, TX; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville with the Rev. Bruce Donley officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.     A former Akron dairy farmer,
    Alfred Brauen, 72, of Wolcottsville
    Road, died of a heart attack
    Tuesday (Aug. 11, 1964)
    while visiting friends in Clarence
    Center.
    Mr. Brauen celebrated his
    72nd birthday just two days
    prior to his death on Sunday
    Aug. 9. He was born in Clarence
    Center and for many years
    operated a dairy farm in Akron.
    Until his retirement in
    1955, he was a carpenter. He
    was married to the late Lillian
    Hasely Brauen who died in 1940.
    Friends may call at the Shepard
    Bros. Funeral Residence,
    1090 Main St., Clarence, where
    services will be held Friday at
    2 p.m. with the Rev. Pastor
    Carl Olin of Zion Lutheran
    Church officiating. Burial will
    be in Clarence Center Cemetery.
    The family will be present at
    the funeral home from 2 to 5
    and from 7 to 10 p.m. today.

    MIDDLEPORT - A retired contractor, Elmer R. Weber, 71, died Monday (June 5, 1961) at his home in Wolcottsville. He was born Nov. 20, 1884, in Greenville, Mich., the son of Christian and Hannah Clement Weber. A resident of Wolcottsville for 27 years. Mr. Weber,retired from the contracting business about nine years ago due to ill health. He had previously been a farmer. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose Koepsel Weber; two sons, Elton Weber and LaVerne Weber; two daughters. Mrs. Helen Hoste and Mrs Marian Brauen, all of Wolcottsville, a sister. Mrs. Mary Mitts, Detroit, Mich.; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the Wallace and Heath Funeral Home, Inc. Middleport, where funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 with the Rev. Hllbert Huth officiating. Burial will be in Mt.Pleasant Cemetery, West Shelby.

    Rose Weber Dies after Long Illness
    Mrs. Rose M. Weber of Fisk Road, Wolcottsville, died yesterday at the United Church Colony Home, Gasport. She was born May 21, 1892 in the Town of Newstead the daughter of Henry Koepsel and Malvina (Kleinhans) Koepsel. She had lived in this area all of her life. Her husband, Elmer Weber, died in 1961. Mrs. Weber was a member of the Wolcottsville Golden Agers and St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville. Surviving are two sons, Elton and LaVerne Weber, two daughters, Mrs. Helen Hotte and Mrs. Marian Brauen, all of Wolcottsville; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. John (Mabel) Pafk of Akron; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call tonight (7-9 and Friday (2-4,7-8) at the Bates, Wallace and Heath Funeral Home Inc., 38 State St., Middleport, and Saturday (1-2) at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, where services will be where services will be held at 2 p.m. The Rev. Glen W. Richardson will be officiating and burial will be Mount Pleasant Cemetery. West Shelby. Memorials to St. Michaels Church would be appreciated by the family.

    tomorrow for Frederick Brauen.
    89-year-old retired Swiss-born
    farmer and cheesemaker of Clarence.
    He is survived by seven
    sons. 42 grandchildren and 28
    great-grandchildren.
    Mr. Brauen died Friday, one
    day after his 89th birthday. The
    funeral will he at 2 tomorrow
    afternoon at Brethren in Christ
    Church, Clarence Center.
    He came to the United States
    from Switzerland in 1888, became
    an American citizen, and 43 years
    ago settled on the Strickler Rd.
    farm near Clarence where he
    died. Mr. Brauen retired in 1921.
    Five of his sons-Alfred. John.
    Arnold. Fred and Ernst-live in
    Clarence. Benjamin resides in
    Collins Center and Walter in Selkirk.
    Ont. Mr Brauens wife died
    in 1931.
