    Vivian W. Forsyth of Burt, NY, wife of Richard V. Forsyth, entered into rest under loving care of Niagara Hospice and her family on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Niagara Hospice House. She was born in Lockport, NY on October 3, 1931, the daughter of the late Doval and Eva Muir Whitehead. Vivian married Richard V. Forsyth on September 16, 1950.

    She worked for Ridge Road Express as a Bus Driver in the Newfane Central School District for many years and was an avid bowler. Vivian loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

    Loving mother of Vicky (David) Wood of Newfane, Sally (Christopher) Weber of Burt, NY, Patty (Robbie Goolsby) Forsyth of Newfane and William (Allison) Forsyth of Niantic, CT. Sister of the late Doval Whitehead. Also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    No prior visitation. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Corwin Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.

    George Bixler, 64 years old of
    the Ide road, town of Newfane, arrested
    yesterday by Deputy Smith
    and Rees on charge of bigamy.
    was arraigned this morning before
    Acting Police Judge Noonan In
    police court at Niagara Falls. A
    plea of not guilty was entered
    and the case was adjourned until
    19 o'clock tomorrow morning;.
    The complainant is Mrs. Julia
    Bixler of 295 Hawley street, this
    city, who claims she is t h e wife of
    George Bixler and mother of h i s
    seven children. She told Judge
    Noonan that while there Is no di-
    vorce she has been separated from
    her husband about thirteen years.
    Recently Mrs. Bixler saw an ac-
    count in a newspaper of the mar-
    riage of George Bixler and Rose
    Mary Carey, the ceremony being
    performed on September 3, at Ni-
    agara Falls, she claims, and upon
    investigation found that the groom
    was her husband. she then
    swore out the warrant.

    - Funeral
    services for George Bixler. 70. former
    resident of the Newfane area who
    died Monday in Cleveland, will be
    held at 3:30 tomorrow at the heme
    of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn H. Corwin,
    Main street. Burial will be In Corwin
    cemetery. Mr. Bixler had been
    ill for several months.
    Born In the town of Newfane. the
    son of the late Joshua and Alice
    Brown Bixler, he had been a farmer
    on the Ida road until 16 years ago
    when he went to Cleveland. He was
    a member of the Newfane Baptist
    church.
    Survivors include a son Clayton
    Bixler, Moravia; five daughters, Mrs.
    Everett Forsyth, Burt; Mrs. william
    Akerman and Mrs. Beverly Harris,
    Newfane; Mrs. George Howard and
    Mrs. Douglas Roberts, both of Lock-
    port; and one brother, Scott Bixler,
    Hess road, town of Newfane.
