RANSOMVILLE, Feb. 17-Mrs.
Ella Myers, 77,'wife of Earl Myers,
77, of Youngstown-Lockport Rd.,
died yesterday (Feb. 16, 1956) at
home a f t e r a
long illness.
Mrs. Myers
was born May
18, 1878, in the
Town of Lewiston,
the daughter
of Loren and
Sarah Balcom.
She was married
Sept. 4,1905 and
is survived by a
daughter, Mrs.
S a r a h .Vincent
Nelson, North Tonawanda, and two
sons. Loren and Elric Myers, both
of Ransomville. She also is survived
by six grandchildren.
Mrs. Myers was a member of
the Free Methodist Church at the
lime of her death and was, in for-
mer years,'a trustee of the Wesleyan
Methodist Church, Ransomville.
Services will he conducted at 2
p.m. Sunday at the Gentle Funeral
Home and at 2:30 p.m. at the Free
Methodist Church by the Rev.

RANSOMVILLE, Aug. 22 — A
golden wedding celebration in honor
'of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Myers
will be held at Legion Hall, Ransomville,
Sept. 3 between the hours
of 4 to 7.. Expected at the open
house affair is Howard Myers,
Bond Lake, one of the attendants
if the wedding, and Mrs, Charles
Balcom Sr., YoungstownV.
Mr. and Mrs. Myers were married
at the. Methodist .parsonage,
Youngstown, with the ; Rev. G.
Thompson Watts officiating on
Sept, 4, 1905. Attendants- were
Mr. Myers' brother, Howard, arid
Mrs. Myers' sister, Edith Balcom.
Mrs. Myers was born in the
Town of Lewiston, daughter of
Loren and Sarah Balcom.
Mr. Myers is a native of the
Town of Porter, son of Henry H.
and Eliza Myers. Farming was
his life work unitl 1929 when he
took a position in the Highway Department
of the 'Town of Porter
from which he retired in 1943,
Mrs. Myers, a devout Methodist,
held the post of-trustee in the
Wesleyan Methodist Church and is
now a member of the Free Methodist
Church. -
They have two sons, both residing,
in Ransomville, Elric and Loren,
also a. daughter, Sarah Nelson,
North-Tonawanda.
There was also a daughter, Doris,
who died in 1919 at the age of 13,
a son Paul, an accident victim in
1925, Martin, who died in an 'industrial
accident, and William, killed
in Italy in 1944 during World
War II.
Mr. and Mrs. Myers have six
grandchildren, all residing in Ransomville.
