    daughter, Elsie M., to Staff Serjeant
    J. Everton Brauer of Camp
    Edwards, Mass. Staff Sergeant
    Brauer is the son of Mr. and
    Mrs. John Brauer of Nisgara Falls
    boulevard.

    A .jretty wedding was solem-
    nized on November 25 at 3 p. m,
    in the First Baptist Church, Brockton,
    Mass., when Miss Elsie M
    Cushman daughter of Mrs. Asa T.
    Cushman was united in marriage
    to J. Everton Brauer, son of Mr.
    and Mrs. John Brauer of 43 Falls
    blyd., North Tonawanda.
    The church was decorated with
    baskets of white pom-poms and
    candles. White s a t i n ribbons
    marked the guest pews.
    The bride, given in marriage by
    her brother, Myles F. Cushman,
    wore a gown of white bridal satin,
    with sweetheart neckline, fitted
    satin bodice, with long fitted
    sleeves pointed over the wrists.
    The full tulle skirt with satin applique
    fall into a circular chapel
    length train. She wore a finger
    tip veil held with a tiny cap of
    orange blossoms and carried a
    shower bouquet of white roses and
    white pom-poms.
    Mrs. Harold Boyce, cousin of the
    bride, was matron-of-honor, wearing
    pale green tulle. She carried
    yellow roses a»d white pom-poms
    tied with yellow ribbon. Mr. Boyce
    attended the bridegroom as best
    man.
    Mrs. Cushman chose an aqua
    crepe with matching small hat.
    Her corsage was of pink pom
    poms and roses.
    A reception in the church followed
    the ceremony. Later a wedding
    dinner for bridal party was
    given in the Bryant hotel.
    For her traveling ensemble tho
    bride wore a grey wool dressmaker
    suit with black accessories
    under a seal coet and a matching
    seal hat.
    Mr. and Mrs. Brauer came to
    North Tonawanda to visit Mr.
    Brauer's parents and will leave
    next week for an extended trip
    through the New England states.

    John Brauer, 83, after whom
    Brauer Park in North Tonawanda
    was named, died yesterday at
    his son's home at South Bethlehem,
    near Albany.
    Mr. Brauer was born in Buffalo
    and moved to North Tonawanda
    in 1918. He formerly resided at
    43 Old Falls Blvd. in North Tonawanda,
    where he owned and operated
    "Riverview Nursery" until
    he retired 10 years ago.
    He was Seventh Ward supervisor
    in 1926 and 1227 and an alderman
    on the North Tonawanda
    Common Council from 1934 to
    1939. He was a Reiublican.
    When he retired in 1939, the
    Common Council named "Brau-
    er Park" in appreciation of his
    "generosity in donating and su-
    pervising the planting of trees in
    the city."
    After his retirement, Mr. Brauer
    moved to Florida. He went to
    live with a son, J. Everton Brauer
    at South Bethlehem last Easter.
    Besides his son, Mr. Brauer is
    survived by his wife, Ethel Johnston
    Brauer.
    Services for Mr. Brauer will be
    Friday at St. Stephens Episcopal
    Church at Delmar, N.Y. Burial
    will be at Mount Pleasant Ceme-
    tery at South Bethlehem.

    Mrs. Ethel J. Brauer, wife of
    a former North Tonawanda alderman,
    died today in South
    Bethlehem, a small community
    near Albany, just 10 days after
    the death of her husband.
    John Brauer, who served on
    the North Tonawanda Common
    Council from 1934 to 1939 and on
    the Niagara County Board of Supervisors
    in 1926 and 1927, died
    Oct. 25 in South Bethlehem.
    Mr. and Mrs. Brauer owned
    and operated Riverview Florist,
    43 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda,
    until they retired 10
    years ago. They moved to Florida,
    and early this year went to
    live with a son, J. Everton Brauer,
    in South Bethlehem.
    Brauer Park in North Tonawanda
    was named for the work
    Mr. Brauer did through tree
    programs and other beautification
    projects.
    Besides her son, Mrs. Brauer
    is survived by one grandson,
    Robert C. Brauer of South Bethlehem.
    She was a former member
    of St. Mark's Episcopal
    Church of North Tonawanda and
    of the Zonta Club.
    Services will be Tuesday afternoon
    in St Stephen's Episcopal
    Church, Delmar. Burial will be at
    Mount Pleasant Cemetery at
    South Bethlehem. The Tibbutts
    Funeral Home, Delmar, is in
    charge of arrangements.
