    Notes:

    Norman C. "Bud" Braun, age 83, of Middleport, entered into rest on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born October 2, 1934, in North Tonawanda, Norman is the son of the late: Norman V. and Irene (Stielow) Braun. 

    Norman married Joanne, August 7, 2004. He had previously been married to Phyliss Ann McCollum, on October 6, 1956. Phyliss died July 24, 1996. Bud was a lifetime dairy farmer. He enjoyed hunting, reading, spending time with family, the companionship of his dog Charlie Brown, golfing and talking farming with his farming friends. He also worked at Harrison Radiator in Lockport from 1953 to 1963. 

    He served his country in the US Army from April 27, 1953, until April 5, 1956, during the Korean conflict, proudly achieving the rank of Sergeant.

    Surviving is his wife: Joanne (Lucas Boetcher) Braun and children: Lynn (Daniel) Budziszewski, Lori (Wayne) Rhinehart, Lisa (Ken) Glena, Leigh Braun, Andrew (Kristina) Braun, Amy (Todd) Zinkievich; stepfather of: Robin Eckert, Amy (Don) Yung and Greg (Wendy) Boetcher. Brother of: Helen (Paul) Petit and Janet (the late George) Donahue and special cousin Elizabeth Reisman. Also survived by 21 grandchildren, 21 and ½ great grandchildren, several brother and sister-in-laws, and several nieces and nephews.

    Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street, Middleport, NY on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11 am from St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church 1355 West Avenue, Medina.

    Miss Phyllis Ann McCollum,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald
    McCollum, Wilson, and Norman
    Charles Braun, son of Mr. and
    Mrs. Norman Braun, Middleport,
    were united in marriage Saturday,
    at 7:30, in Trinity Lutheran
    Church, Medina. The Rev. R. E.
    Malte officiated at the ceremony
    before the altar decorated with
    yellow and white chrysanthemums
    and gladioli.
    BRIDE WEARS TULLE
    Given in marriage by her father,
    the bride wore a white waltz-
    length gown of tulle. The bodice
    was of white lace, trimmed with
    sequins, and fashioned with long
    sleeves. The skirt featured a pleat-
    ed front with an apron of lace in
    the front and a panel of lace in
    the back. A crown of pearls and
    sequins held her double illusion
    French net fingertip veil. She car-
    ried a cascade bouquet of white
    carnations and yellow roses.
    Mrs. Robert Wollenberg, Middleport,
    sister of the bride, was
    matron of honor, and the other
    attendants were Miss Shirley
    Schultz, and Mrs. Richard Cornelius,
    both of Wilson. The three attendants
    wore Identical gowns of
    turquoise taffeta, ballerina-length.
    They carried bouquets of bronze
    and yellow carnations.
    Norman Bruning, Middleport,
    was best man and ushers were
    Robert Braun, Middleport, cousin
    of the bridegroom, and Robert McCollum,
    Lockport. Additional attendants
    were Robert Wollenberg
    and Robert Turrell, both of Middleport.
    Milton Freer, Lockport, soloist,
    was accompanied by Mrs. Anthony
    Kozody, Medina
    STREET-LENGTH DRESSES
    A honey bear brown taffeta
    street-length dress, with white and
    black accessories, was worn by
    the bride's mother. The mother of
    the bridegroom chose a black and
    white taffeta street-length dress
    with white accessories.
    Following the ceremony, a reception
    was held in the South Wilson
    Fire Hall, Wilson. A wedding
    cake, white candles in crystal
    holder; and vases of mixed autumn
    flowers decorated the table.
    Walter Weber's orchestra provided
    music.
    As the pride left with her husband
    for a trip through the New
    England States, she was wearing
    a gun metal gray linen suit with
    red accessories. The couple will
    reside at Hunter Rd., Middleport
    on their return.
    Out-of-town guests were from
    Buffalo, North Tonawanda, Albion,
    Rochester and Medina.
    The bride was graduated from
    Wilson Central School. The bridegroom
    was graduated from Royalton
    Hartland Central School, and
    served with me U. S. Army for
    three years.

    The original attendants,
    Raymond Braun, brother of
    the groom and his wife, Ruth,
    were also present
    Mr. Braun was born in East
    Amherst on Feb. 1, 1910. He
    worked at Wurlitzer in North
    Tonawanda for many years. In
    1941 he , bought a farm in
    Middleport and was a fanner
    until his retirement in 1972.
    Mrs. Braun was born in
    Shelby on April, 22, 1915. She
    was employed by. General
    Motors, Harrison Radiator in
    Lockport for 10 years
    They were married Nov. 1,
    19S2 and have 11 grandchildren
    and two great-grandchildren
    The couple attends Trinity
    Lutheran Church in Medina.
    The party was attended by
    190 people from Florida,
    Oklahoma, Maryland,
    Palmyra, Buffalo and North
    Tonawanda, with many neighbors
    also in attendance.

    Charles A. Braun, 84, of 3929
    Lockport Ave., died today
    (Nov. 29, 1960) at the home of
    a son in Middleport, where he
    had been staying for the last
    three days.
    Born in Chicago, Mr. Braun
    lived in this city for the last
    60 years. He retired 15 yeafs
    ago after working as a stock
    clerk for the Rudolph Wurlitzer
    Co.
    Surviving are his w i f e,
    Amanda Sahr Braun; two
    sons, Raymond and Norman
    Braun, M i d d 1 e p o r t; nine
    grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.
    Rev. Frederick Hinneis will
    conduct the funeral service at
    1:30 p.m. Thursday at the
    Hamp Funeral Home. Burial
    will be in Bear Ridge Cemetery.

    NORTH TONAWANDA, Dec. 21.-
    Mrs. Amelia Braun, 91 years old, died
    Saturday night at the home of her son,
    Charles A. Braun, Lockport avenue. She
    was born in Germany and had lived in
    America with the exception of the first
    ten years of her life. She resided for
    many years on the Sweet Home road,
    town of Amherst.
    She is survived by a daughter, Miss
    Elizabeth Braun; a son, Charles; two
    grandsons and two great-grandsons. The
    funeral will be held Tuesday, afternoon
    at 2 o'clock at the residence and half
    an hour later at St. Paul's church. The
    Rev. F. A. Hinners will conduct the
    services and burial will be in Bear
    Ridge.

    Marie Sahr. 84. died yesterday at
    the home of her daughter. Mrs.
    Charles Braun, Lockport avenue,
    town of Wheatfleld. Mrs. Sahr was
    born in Germany. For the last 60
    years she had resided in the town.
    She was a member of the St. Paul's
    Lutheran church in the Martinsville
    section of the city. Besides a
    daughter, she leaves A son. Otto, of
    Hoffman's Station; two grandchildren
    and eight great grandchildren.
    Rites wll lbe held tomorrow
    afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at , the
    Braun home. The Rev. F. A. Hlnners
