    The First M. E. Church was the
    scene of a pretty wedding at 2
    o'clock this afternoon, when Miss
    Esther Livingston Guyle, daughter
    of Mrs. Mattie Guyle of 6«
    Franees Street, became the bride
    of William Stanley Braunig, son
    of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Braunig of
    40% Delevan Street. The ceremony
    was performed by Rev.
    Samuel G. Houghton, the pastor.
    The bride was given in marriage
    by her brother, C. E. Guyle of
    Lyons, before a large assemblage
    of relatives and friends. The bride
    who was attended by Miss Frances
    M. Buxton, was gowned In beige
    with hat and accessories to match
    and her bouquet was of Talisman
    roses. The bridesmaid wore dark
    brown with matching hat and accessories
    and she also carried
    Talisman roses. Gerald Pierce of
    this city was best man.
    Following the ceremony, a reception
    was held at the home of
    the bride After a wedding trip to
    Washington and other points
    east, Mr and Mrs. Braunig will
    make their home at 66 Frances
    Street. Mrs. Braunig has been the
    guest of honor at pre-nuptlal affairs
    given by Mrs. Edgar Rose,
    Mrs. Gerald Pierce, Mrs. Charles
    Skowron. Cecils Conley. Miss
    Gladys Stubbs. Miss Frances -M.
    Buxton and Mrs. W. E. Braunig.

    Raymond E. Lockwood. Sr. 73, of
    R.D.*5. Powers Road. Auburn. NY
    died Monday. April 15. 1985. at his
    home following an illness of several
    months
    Mr Lockwood was born in
    Savannah, the son of the late
    Howard and Cora Madigan
    Lockwood and had resided in the
    Town of Throop most of his life He
    served as Highway Supenntendant
    for the Town of Throop for several
    years He also was employed by the
    Port Byron School District as a bus
    dirver for several years. He also
    owned and operated Ray's Ashland
    Service station on the corner of York
    and Slate Streets for many years.
    Mr Lockwood was one of the
    founders of the Throop Fire Department
    and he held a life membership
    in the Fire Department, in
    addition to that he served as Fire
    Chief for 12 years. He also served on
    the Boy Scout Committee. He drove
    for the SCAT van and was a RSVP
    volunteer. Mr Lockwood was
    employed for a time with the E.
    John Gavras Comprehensive Training
    Center.
    Mr. Lockwood was also instuemental
    in establishing a youth
    baseball league in the Town of
    Throop several years ago. He was a
    member of the Throopsville Community
    Church.
    He is survived by: his wife, Irene
    Belknap Lockwood of Throop; one
    son, Judge Raymond E. Lockwood.
    Jr. of Aurelius; three daughters.
    Mrs. Casmir (Carolyn) Bilinski of
    Auburn, Anna Mae Van Dyke of
    Auburn and Mrs. David (Marilyn
    "Bunny") Braunig of Dade City.
    Florida; one sister. Mrs. Marian
    Belknap Caracoglia of Melborne.
    Fla.; fifteen grandchildren including:
    Jackie Anderson and Jeanine
    Braunig. both of Throop: seven
    great grandchildren including:
    Jessica Lynn Anderson, also of
    Throop; one niece. Mrs. Janet Santel
    of Apex. North Carolina.
    Funeral services will be held
    Thursday. April 18, 1985, at 11 a.m.
    at the Brew Funeral Home, 48 South
    Street, Auburn, with the Rev,
    Pamela D. Anderegg, pastor of the
    Throopsville Community Church,
    officiating. Interment will be in Pine
    Cemetery. Throop.
    Friends are invited to call at the
    Brew Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m.
    Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
    p.m.
    Expressions of sympathy may be
    made to the Memorial Fund of the
    Throop Fire Department in Mr.
    Lockwood's memory.

    An attractive home wedding took
    place last night at the home of the
    groom's parents. Mr. and Mrs. William
    Ness, No, 29 Jefferson street,
    when Ada M. C. Walters became the
    bride of William E. Braunig, both
    being residents of this city. The
    ceremony Was performed beneath an
    arch of golden rod by Rev. A. A.
    McKay of Westminster Presbyterian
    church at 9 o'clock-in the presence
    of about two score of friends and
    relatives.
    The bride was attended by Miss
    Gertrude M. Braunig, a sister of the
    groom and the groomsman was Le-
    roy Braunig. his brother.
    Following the ceremony a wedding
    feast was served .in the dining room
    which was prettily decorated with
    Japanese lanterns and cut flowers,
    The couple were the recipients of a
    large number of handsome presents.
    They will make their home In this
    city and will be at home at No. 26
    Arlington avenue after September
    15.
    Among those present were Miss
    Lula Wright and Miss Grace Wright,
    Raymond Scranton and Leroy Braunig,
    all of t tlca. During the evening
    music was furnished by D. A.
    McGhee.

    at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
    Edward Raven when their daughter,
    Laura, was united in marriage to
    Emmet Belknap. About fifty guests
    were present.
