    mums formed the background for
    the candle-light ceremony at 6
    o'clock Saturday evening uniting
    Miss Norma J. Bruning. daughter
    of Mrs. Edith Bruning of Ontario
    Street, Olcott, and Donald A.
    Ramsdell, son of Mr. and Mrs.
    Herbert A.. Ramsdell of 44 South
    Main St., Newfane. The Rev. Lawrence
    A. Kinne officiated at St.
    Luke's Lutheran Church in Newfane.
    Fred Schultz of Buffalo gave his
    cousin in marriage. She was at
    tired in waltz-length gown of
    white imported Italian velveteen
    featuring seed pearl embroidery at
    the scoop neckline and pearl but-
    tons on the long tapered sleeves.
    A velveteen pear-studded head-
    piece held her fingertip lace veil
    and she carried a semi-casccade of
    white camelias and ilacs with
    baby pompons and ivy caught in
    the streamers.
    Miss Margaret Bruning was her
    sister's maid of honor in a gown of
    emerald green imported velveteen
    fashioned with an empire waist,,
    three-quarter sleeves, and full
    skirt. She wore a matching head-
    piece and carried pale yellow rose
    buds with white baby pompons.
    MAIDS BOUQUETS
    Bouquets of pale pink rose buds
    complemented the ensembles of
    scarlet red. similar to that of the
    maid of honor, worn by the bridesmaids.
    Miss Catherine Castle of
    Lockport and Miss Elsie McGrath
    of Newtown, Conn.
    Raymond' Ramsdell of Spencerport
    attended his brother as
    best man and ushering duties were
    performed by Ronald Ramsdell.
    brother of the groom, aad Robert
    Capen, both of Newfane.
    Traditional wedding music was
    played by Miss Joan Weir, organist,
    and the soloist was Miss Lyla
    Beth Brown.
    A gown of thistle-colored lace
    over taffeta was chosen by Mrs.
    Bruning for her daughter's wedding,
    and her accessories were
    winter white. Mrs. Ramsdell favored
    a princess style dress of slate
    blue with pink and black accessories.
    Each wore a corsage of
    white and pink carnations.
    For the reception at the Village
    Tavern in Olcott. baskets of mums
    and snapdragons were used for
    decorations. Refreshments were
    served from a table enhanced with
    the wedding cake, green ferns and
    bouquets of the bridal party.
    TRAVELING COSTUME
    The bride wore a brown suit with
    pale pink and brown accessories
    when the couple left for a wedding
    trip in Washington Her corsage
    was of white camellias. Upon
    their return, Mr. and Mrs. Rams-
    dell willl reside at 34 North Main
    St., Newfane.
    Out-of-town guests were from
    Connecticut, Michigan, Rochester,
    Buffalo, ,Middleport, Lockport and
    Gasport.
    Both grsduates of Newfane Central
    School, the bride was graduat
    ed from Becker Junior College at
    Worcester, Mass., and the groom
    served four years in the U. S.
    Navy.
    Bridal showers were given by
    Mrs. Wetsner Krull and Mrs. Jean
    of Akron; Miss Castle and
    Mrs. Ronald Ramsdell and one by
    the women of the Tool Design Office
    of Harrison Radiator Division
    of General Meters Cera

  1. 2.  BRUNING, Hubert was born about 1911 in Town of Royalton, Niagara County, NY (son of BRUNING, Frank and LINDKE, Rosine Matilda Wilhelmina); died on 20 Feb 1937 in Lockport, Niagara County, NY.

    LOCKPORT. Feb. 22.-The funeral
    of Hubert Bruning. 27 years old, of
    the West Lake road, Olcott,, who was
    Injured fatally Saturday night when
    his automobile was hit by a Lockport-
    Olcott trolley car at Corwln crossing,
    six miles north of the city, will be held
    tomorrow afternoon at the home at
    2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Herman
    Meier, of Lockport. officiating. Interment
    will be at West Shelby.
    Bruning. who was employed at the
    Simonds Saw and Steel company plant
    In this city, was driving home on the
    Lockport-Oleott road at the time of
    the accident. An International Railway
    company trolley car. operated by
    Morris Butler, of 309 Church street.
    Lockport. was en route from Olcott
    to this city.
    The trolley hit the automobile and
    carried It about 25 feet, according to
    Sheriff Fred A. Blgalow. The automobile
    was wrecked and the trolley
    was crippled by the crash. Bruning
    died of head injuries en route to the
    City hospital here in an automobile
    of Leonard Case of Olcott. Dr. Frank
    T Carmer, coroner, of Newfane, is
    investigating and will hold an inquest
    the date of which has not been set.
    Bruning was born in the Town of
    Royalton where he lived mast of his
    life. He leaves his widow. Edith, three
    children, Margaret. Norma and Ruth,
    at home: his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
    Frank Bruning, of Wolcottsvllle: two
    brothers and one sister. Franklin
    Brunlng of Olcott. Alvin Bruning, of
    Wolcottsvllle, and Minnie Brunlng of
    Buffalo.

    The marriage of Miss Edith Luks,
    daughter of Mrs. Leo Luks to Hubert
    Bruning of Middleport was
    solemnized on Saturday afternoon,
    June 18, at 4 o'clock in the Trinity
    Lutheran church with Rev. Herman
    Meier officiating. The altar was
    banked with palms, ferns and
    white peouies.
    The bride gtven In marriage by
    her brother, was gowned in white
    satin while her ell of illusion was
    arranged in cape effect and fashioned
    at either side with orange
    blossoms. She carried a shower
    bouquet of white roses.
    The bridegroom's sister, Miss
    Minnie Bruning, was maid of honor
    and wore a gown of pink embrotd- '
    ered net, matching picture hat of
    horse hair braid, long mits and
    carried a bouquet of pink roses and
    gypsophila. Mrs. Viola Luks of Buffalo
    was matron of honor and wore
    a gown of peacn embroidered net,
    matching picture hat of horse hair
    braid, long mitts and carried a bouquet
    of Joanna Hill roses and gypsophila.
    Edith Luks, niece of the
    bride was flower girl, wearing a
    dainty frock of yellow silk. She carried
    a tiny basket filled with garden
    flowers.
    Arthur Klinestlver was best man
    and Franklin Bruning acted as attendant.
    The ushers were Norman
    Lindke and William Mlnkline.
    Immediately following the ceremony,
    a reception for about fifty
    guests was held at the bride's home.
    The bride's table was laid for twelve
    and was centered with a large wedding
    cake and gift bouquets of
    flowers were artistically arranged
    throughout the rooms.
    Upon returning from a trip
    through the East, Mr. and Mrs.
    Bruning will take up residence on
    the Murphy road, Lockport. Guests
    were present from Buffalo, Middle -
    port, Albion and other nearby towns.
    Among those giving pre-nuptlal
    affairs for the bride were Miss Minnie
    Bruning and Mrs. Viola Luks.

    F.. Bruning had the remains of her
    husband, August Bruning, taken up
    Wednesday and her two daughters,
    from the Trinity Lutheran cemetery
    at .Wolscottsville.
    Mr. Bruning died Dec. 24, 1921 and
    the two daughters have been dead
    several years.
    Mrs. Bruning bought a large, lot at
    West Shelby at the time of the death
    of her son, Paul, who passed away
    July 3rd, 1925

    Bruning and Mrs. Martin Llndke of
    Royal ton; Mrs. Albert Raduns Of
    Alabama, nine grandchildren. Funeral
