    Angelo C. Rizzo, 86, of Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014, at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care in Lewiston, NY. Born in Central City, PA, he was the son of the late Angelo C. and Lena (Barrecca) Rizzo He was the husband to the late Joan (Brass) Rizzo, who passed away in 1974, and to the late Roseanne (Falbo) Rizzo, who passed away in 2007.

    Angelo attended Shade High School in Pennsylvania and later moved to the Niagara Falls area in 1944, where he attended Niagara Falls High School. During World War II he served in the United States Army and was stationed in the Philippines from April 26, 1946, until his honorable discharge on April 25, 1947. Following his discharge, he boxed for the Clover Boxing Club in Niagara Falls, Ontario until his marriage in 1950. Angelo worked with the Sam Reele Concrete Company, the N.Y. Central Railroad, the Rob Lun Lumber Company, and was a long-time pipefitter for Hooker-Occidental Chemical Co., all located in Niagara Falls, NY.
    Angelo was an avid baseball fan and coached for LaSalle Little League and the Babe Ruth League Teams. He was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church and St. Leo's Church, both in Niagara Falls, as well as a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Men's Club at St. Leo's Church. He and his former wife, Joan, also organized Saturday Night Bingo at St. Leo's Church Hall.

    Mr. Rizzo is survived by eight children, Jane (Terry) Young of Guilford, ME, Michael (Rosemarie) Rizzo of Niagara Falls, Patricia Johnson of Niagara Falls, NY, Christopher (Kathy) Rizzo of Cumberland, RI, Peggy (Donald) Schildhauer of the Town of Niagara, NY, Kara (William) Hartman of North Tonawanda, NY, Joseph (Colleen) Toarmino and Ross Toarmino, both of Niagara Falls, NY; 17 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Lena (late John) Scrivanni of Niagara Falls, NY, Frances (late Stanley) Koshinski of the Town of Niagara, Verna (late Benny) Grossi of Niagara Falls, Maryann (late Douglas) Pike of Niagara Falls, Dominick "Mickey" (Gilda) Rizzo of Niagara Falls, NY, Selma (late Hamish) Hamilton of Niagara Falls, NY, and Joseph (Maria) Rizzo of Lewiston, NY; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by four brothers and two sisters, Anthony (late Thelma) Rizzo, Samuel Rizzo, Nancy (late Dominic) Farbo, Adelphine (late Tony) Mastrolembo and infants, Saviero Rizzo and Adolph Rizzo.

    Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Rd., Niagara Falls, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 16th, at 10:30 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Parish at St. Leo Church, 2748 Military Rd., Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Robert Stolinski officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, 5285 Lewiston Road, Lewiston, NY 14092.

    NIAGARA FALLS - Mr. and Mrs. Maurice
    Brass will be renewing their 50-year-old wedding
    vows this afternoon in a special Folk Mass at St.
    Charles Church. Miss Isabelle Moore, Kenmore,
    N.Y., will attend the ceremony and assist in the
    blessing of the rings'. The readings during the
    service were.chosen by the couple's children.
    The festivities for the pair, who reside at 185 60th
    St., began on Saturday night with a dinner for the
    immediate family at the Boathouse Restaurant.
    After the mass this afternoon, the couple will-be
    honored at a tea held at Frontier Lanes.
    Attending the weekend's events will be most of
    the couples' 27 grandchildren and five great
    grandchildren.
    The couple's children are James Brass,
    Calabases, Calif., Mrs. E.G. (Jean) DeLorenzo,
    Richard Brass, Marietta, N.Y., Mrs. Angelo (Joan)
    Rizzo, Mrs. James (Mary) GrayrWilliam Brass
    and Peter Brass, Lewiston.
