    Notes:

    Mr. Fred W. Hill, of Medina, passed away on Monday,
    December 22, 2014 at the Medina Memorial Hospital.
    Mr. Hill was born in Medina,, November 1, 1926, a son
    of the late William C. and Fern E. (Shepard) Hill. He
    was a US Navy veteran and served during World War II
    from 1944-46. He attended training at the Sampson
    Naval Training Station. Following his discharge, e
    returned to Medina. Mr. Hill was employed by Harrison
    Radiator Division of GMC,, as an industrial Engineer,,
    for many years. He was a longtime, devoted member
    of St. John's Episcopal Church, served on the curch
    vestry and was a member of the National Episcopal
    Cursillo. He also was a member of Sampson SALT,
    Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion, Lincoln Post
    #1483, VFW and enjoyed playing golf.
    Survivors include his wife,, Paula A (Toot); 2 sons,
    Gary G (Marlene) Hilll and Mark D Hill, 7
    grandchildren,, David and Daniel Hill, Matthew and
    Andrew Bishara, Tammy Runyon Kristi Crawley and
    Rhonda Robison, a great grandchild, Caleb Runyon,
    3 step children,, Anna Morales, Betty Davis and
    Charlene Schmidt, several step grandchilren and
    step great grandchildren several nieces and nephews.
    He was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley E.
    (Gardner) on August 21, 1955; his second wife,
    Gladys E. (Marks) on Sept. 29, 2008; 2 daughters,
    Marjorie Ellen Robinson and Barbara L. Bishara; and
    his sister, Anita Pettigrew.
    Friends may call on Friday (4-7) at the Cooper Funeral
    home, 215 W. Cener St.,, Medina. His funeral service
    will be held on Saturday at 11AM at St. John's
    Episcopal Church and interment will be in Boxwood
    Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by
    members of Lincoln Post #1483 VFW and Butts-Clar
    Post #204, American Legion.
    Memorials may be made to St. John's Episcopal
    Church or the Senior Citizens of Western Orleans, Inc.

    Hill, Gladys E.
    Gladys E. Hill, of Medina, passed away on Monday evening, September 29, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Hill was born in Wolcottsville, July 18, 1923, a daughter of the late George F. and Esther L. (Pfohl) Marks. On September 22, 1956, she married Fred W. Hill and she was a long time Medina resident. Prior to her marriage, she was employed by Harrison Radiator Division of GMC for 14 years and later by the Medina Central School District, as a teacher’s aide for 11 years, assisting in the elementary reading lab. She retired in 1981.An active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Diocese of Western New York, she served as a Past Senior Warden and Deanery of the Sunday school at St. John’s Church. She was a licensed Lay Reader, Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Vestry and choir and was active in the Episcopal Cursillo community. Mrs. Hill was a long time member of the Medina Tuesday Club and the Book Discussion Group at Lee-Whedon Memorial Library. She enjoyed square dancing, golf and traveling.Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Fred W.; three children, Mark D. Hill, Gary G. (Marlene) Hill, both of Medina and Marjorie Ellen (Ronald) Robison of Hilton; seven grandchildren, Tammy and Kristie Robison, Rhonda Cavanaugh, David and Danny Hill, Matthew and Andrew Bishara; two great grandchildren, Rachel Jean Daly and Clay Frederick Daly; two sisters, Ruth (Joseph) Lydston and Shirley Licata, both of Lockport; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara L. Bishara, on January 26, 2004.Friends may call on Thursday (4-8 PM) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. A funeral service with Holy Eucharist will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Friday at 11 AM. The Very Reverend Edson M. Outwin and Reverend John Paul Boyer will officiate and interment will be in Boxwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church or Hospice of Orleans County.
