Obituary of Howard Beutel

Howard H. Beutel of Lockport, NY passed away on Saturday April 28, 2018. Born on February 26, 1934 in Sanborn, NY and lived there most of his life. He was the son of Hubert and Gladys Bartel Beutel. Howard served in the Air Force from 1953 – 1961 and retired from Harrison Radiator in 1991. He enjoyed music, playing the fiddle and performing with friends, reading and building small windmills. Howard was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville.
 
Howard is survived by his wife, Arlene Beutel; daughter, Brenda Beutel; grandson, Braeden (Brandi) Beutel; great grandchildren, Braelyn and Briella Beutel; siblings, David (Kathy), Raymond (Amanda) and Bonita (late Leonard) Forth; sister in law, Gail (late Gerald) Beutel and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two former wives, Ellen and Rita.
 
Friends may call on Friday 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME. INC., 186 East Ave. where funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment in Cold Springs Cemetery. Born January 28, 1936 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of Harry and Mary Petoniak Wright. Ellen was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy and Niagara University and worked at Harrison Radiator for 25 years retiring in 1991. She volunteered at the Dale Association and enjoyed traveling, gardening, knitting, crocheting, tole painting and quilting.Ellen is the mother of Brenda S. Beutel of Lockport; grandmother of Braeden (Brandi Adams) Beutel, sister of Henry (Judith) Wright, late Gloria Ferguson and late William Donald Wright and aunt of several nieces and nephews.Friends may call on Sunday 3:00 - 7:00 PM at LANGE FUNERALHOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY. CAMBRIA - Hubert T. Beutel, 85, of Shawnee Road, died Wednesday (Feb. 13, 1991) in Inter-Community Memorial Hospital, Newfane. Beutel was a former employee of the Niagara Falls Air Force Base. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda. He is survived by his wife, Gladys (Bartel) Beutel; four sons, Howard Beutel of Sanborn, Jerry Beutel and Raymond Beutel, both of Lockport, and David Beutel of North Tonawanda; a daughter, Bonnie Forth of Lockport; a sister, Agatha Schaal of Wilson; a brother, WiIliam Beutel of Sanborn; and 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 1 to 9 p.m. today at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St., North Tonawanda. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Old Falls Boulevard, North Tonawanda, with the Rev. Richard Pape officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, North Tonawanda.

Gladys A. Beutel (nee Bartel) age 94, of Sanborn, passed away June 29, 2007, in Mt. View Health Facility in Lockport.
Mrs. Beutel was born April 11, 1913 in North Tonawanda, daughter of the late Gustav and Emma Bartel.
Mrs. Beutel was a life long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a member of it's Ladies Aid Society and Friendship Club. She was also a member of the Newfane Senior Citizens. Mrs. Beutel loved gardening, baking, writing poetry, sewing and quilting.
Mrs. Beutel is predeceased by her husband the late Hubert T. Beutel who passed away in 1991.
She is the beloved mother of Howard (Arlene) of Medina NY, late Jerry (Gail) Beutel of Lockport, Raymond (Amanda) Beutel of Lockport, Bonita (Leonard) Forth of Macedon and Rev. David (Kathleen) Beutel of Sanborn.
Sister of the late Edward Bartel, late Clara (late William) Beutel, late Louis Bartel and late Margaret (Allen) Stoelting.
Also survived by ten grand children, eight great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Monday from 2 to 9 PM at the WATTENGEL Funeral Home 307 Oliver St. North Tonawanda. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM from St. Paul's Lutheran Church 453 Old Falls, Blvd, North Tonawanda with the Rev. Karl Hauessler officiating.
Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

avenue, a retired farmer and
native of Niagara county, died early
today at his home.
Born in Walmore, Mr. Beutel operated
a farm for the ??
of his life until he retired recently.
He is survived by three sons. Edward,
William and Hubert Beutel,
all of Sanborn, and three daughters,
Mrs. Emil Walck and Mrs. Adolph
Devantier, both of this city, and
Mrs. Evan Shall, Wilson. Eighteen'
grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren
also survive.
Funeral services will be held at
the home Saturday at 2 p. m. and
at 2:30 o'clock at St. Peter's church,
Walmore, with the Rev. Edward
Grabau officiating. Interment will
be In Walmore cemetery.

Gustav J. Bartel, 66, of 1655 Ruie road, died this morning in the DeGraff Memorial hospital. He was born in Germany and had resided in North Tonawanda the past 60 years. He leaves a son, Louis, of North Tonawanda; three daughters, Margaret of North Tonawanda, Mrs. William Beutel of Sanborn and Mrs. Hubert Beutel of Shawnee; a sister, Mrs. Matilda Tessmer of North Tonawanda and a brother, William of Jersey City, N. J. Rites will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 from the residence and at 4 o’clock from St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Martinsville. The Rev. F. A. Hinners will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul’s cemetery.
