    wedding of their son. Sergt. John
    L. Brewster, to Miss Madge E.
    Lott of Middleton, in that city
    February 6. They continued on to
    New Tork City Saturday and were
    joined Sunday by the aewlyweda
    who returned with them to
    Weedsport for a part of Sergeant
    Brewster's two week's furlough
    from his West Point assignment

    Harris Brewster, 81, of W. Brutus Street,
    Weedsport, died Tuesday in Auburn
    Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
    Bom in the Town of Springport, he had
    lived in Weedsport since 1920. He retired in
    1956 as an agent for Metropolitan Life
    Insurance Co. He previously had been
    employed by the former Syracuse-
    Rochester Trolley Co. After his retirement
    he operated a wood-working shop in his
    home.
    Mr. Brewster was a member of Weedsport
    Masonic Lodge 385, FLAM, and the
    Weedsport Presbyterian Church.
    He and his wife, the former Miss Elsie N.
    Dolph, celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary
    in March.
    Surviving besides his wife are three sons,
    John L. of Auburn, Charles D. of Weedsport
    and Paul E. of Jamestown; a brother, Coral
    of Moravia; nine grandchildren, and four
    great-grandchildren.
    Services will be at 11 a.m. Fridav at the
    Kelly-Jewell Funeral Home. Burial will be
    in Weedsport Rural Cemetery. The Rev.
    William Chegwin, pastor of Weedsport
    Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to
    9 p.m. Thursday at 37 S. Seneca St.
