    their 50th wedding anniversary
    at a surprise dinner party
    in Bedell's Restaurant, Tonawanda.
    Mr. Brick and the former Edna
    Rasch, were married May 29, 1936.
    Given by their children: Craig and
    Margaret D'Angelo, Thomas and
    Michelle Brick and Jack and Louise
    Kinniar, all of North Tonawanda,
    and Robert and Shirley Brick of
    Grand Island.
    Mr. Brick retired from Moore
    Business Forms after 36 years. He is
    a member of Gratwick Hose and
    Elks Lodge

    NORTH TONAWANDA. Dec. 29
    - Stricken with a heart attack
    yesterday. Supervisor Anthony W.
    Brick. Sr.. 73., of 65 Christiana
    street, died at 8 o'clock this morning
    at the DeGraff Memorial hospital.
    For the last 14 years Mr. Brick
    had represented the first, ward of
    this city on the board of supervisors
    and was re-elected last November
    for two additional years.
    Born in Buffalo he became a
    resident here 50 years ago and was
    identified with the lumber business
    most of that time. His first
    position was secretary of the 811-
    verthorn Lumber company, a position
    he held until the firm went
    out of business 20 years ago. He
    then engaged in the wholesale
    lumber business on his own for 30
    years. (
    Mr. Brick was a leader in the
    Republican party here and besides
    acting as supervisor he served
    BS a member of the police commission
    here for many years and
    was also a member of the Republican
    City committee.
    He was a member of Ascension
    church and the Holy Name society.
    He was also a member of trie
    B.P.O. Elks, of which he was a past
    exalted ruler.
    Surviving are six sons. William,
    Cyril, Cornelius; Anthony, \V. Jr.,
    Oeorge and Robert, all of this
    city; three, daughters, Mrs. Josephine
    KeppeJ, of Kenmore, Mrs. Alma
    Balling and Mrs. Delores Gosch,
    of this city; 18 grandchildren; three
    brothers, Thomas Brick, of Niagara
    Falls, Nicholas and Joseph Brick,
    of Buffalo, and three sisters, Nellie
    Brick, of Buffalo. Leona Brick, of
    Niagara Falls, and Mrs. Veronica
    Tyrel, of Depew.
    The funeral will be held Wednesday
    morning at 8:30 o'clock from
    the residence with services at Ascension
    church at ft o'clock. The Rev.
    Francis J. Hunt will officiate. Interment
    will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery

    Mrs. Sophia Brick, 54 years old,
    wife of Supervisor Anthony W.
    Brick, died last night at the family
    residence, 227 Schenck street.
    She was born in Buffalo and had
    resided in North Tonawanda for
    the past 35 years. Besides her
    husband she is survived by three
    daughters, Miss Dolores Brick,
    North Tonawanda, Mrs. Carl Heppel,
    Kenmore, and Mrs. Henry
    Balling, Tonawanda; six sons, William
    A., Cyril J., Cornelius F..
    Anthony W., Jr., George G., and
    Robert C, all of North Tonawanda;
    four grandchildren, one sister.
    Miss Josephine Beriinghoff. Buffalo,
    and two brothers, George and
    Peter Beriinghoff, Buffalo.
    The funeral will be held Monday
    morning at 9 o'clock at the
    residence and half an hour later
    at the Ascension church. Rev.
    J. F. Kelly will conduct the services
    and interment will be at Mt.
    Olivet.

    Rasch, who died in 1952, she is
    survived by a son and daughter-

    Rasch of Seattle, Wash.; a
    daughter, Mrs. Robert (Edna)

    Graveside services will be
    conducted at 3 p.. Saturday at
    Acacia Park Cemetery by the

    Herman A. Rasch Dies Suddenly
    Native of Germany Is Stricken With Apoplexy In 63rd Year
    Herman A. Rasch, sixty-two years old, died suddenly last night at his home, No. 113 Ward road. He was stricken with apoplexy shortly before death. Born in Germany, Rasch came to the Tonawandas with his parents when only four years old, living here the rest of his life. He was a member of the local branch of the Foresters of America, the North Tonawanda Firemen's Benevolent association and the Buffalo Bolt company Mutual Benefit association. Surviving are a wife, three sons, August, Alvin and Andrew Rasch, all of the Tonawandas; a daughter, Mrs. William Karre of Niagara Falls, N. Y.; four grandchildren, one brother, A. C. Rasch of North Tonawanda, and five sisters, Mrs. G. Winter, Mrs. John Doty, Mrs. Lawrence Donner and Mrs. Bert Brado of the Tonawandas and Mrs. F. Richardson of Niagara Falls. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and half an hour later at the St. Peters church, Rev. Theodore E. Mueller officiating. Burial will be in the Sweeney cemetery.

Also surviving are 5 other grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home. 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., where services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev, Richard Bodey will officiate. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery. Deceased was a charter member of the Women's Guild of St. Peter's Church.
