    Notes:

    Frances Irene Mittelstaedt passed away Saturday March 14, 2015 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born June 16, 1918 in Medina, NY, she was the daughter of Earl D. and Mary L. Smith. At the age of 2, she moved to Gasport, N, where she lived until she was married. She graduated from Gasport High School and Gracis Williams Business School. She worked for A. Thorne Hills, an attorney for 15years. She married Wesley L. Crafts on June 28, 1952, they had two daughters, Carol A. Crafts and Joan K. Crafts, Wesley died on May 13, 1967. She worked for Chester S. Grove, attorney for 40 years, retiring in 2001. She married Wilfred M. Mittelstaedt in 1978 in Las Vegas, NV. They moved to Lockport, and Wilfred predeceased her on May 13, 1997. After, she moved to the Presbyterian Home in Lockport, where she spent the remainder of her life. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and beading. Frances was a charter member of the Niagara County Legal Secretaries Association, where she served as Treasurer. She was interested in traveling, having visited 49 of 50 states. She and her husband also made several trips to Europe, Asia and Africa. Frances is survived by her two daughters, Carol A. (Ronald) Gilbert and Joan K. (Patrick) Brayley, both of Lockport; five grandchildren, Nichelle (Jon) Austin, Ashley (Frankie) Fernandez, LeAnne Brayley, Andrea Brayley, all of Lockport and Joseph P. (Rebecca) Brayley of Alaska; she is also survived by 7 great grandchildren. Friends may call Tuesday evening 7-9 PM, in Prudden and KAndt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 AM. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. Memorials to the Presbyterian Home, 305 High Street, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
